Nice work Dan, this could be a BIG seller for you. Wish my ceiling was taller. LOL

#101 4 years ago

Hey Dan is it possible to put a black plastic backdrop on your mod so that it makes the image stand out. Does this suggestion make sense?

#127 4 years ago
Quoted from Litedpinballmods:

Thanks Paul for a practical question, you always have positive and quality comments. I don't think that would be necessary. It is very bright, we did most of our tests on this in our shop, which has 6 of the 4 foot fluorescent lights, and the image still looked ineradicable and very bright. I would compare the brightness to a standard television, good chance it is slightly brighter. It is small LED's so it is pretty bright.
Pintastic is going to be a great test for these, because the vendor hall is very bright.

Thanks Dan, I was just thinking that it would hide the motor also. Put me down for one also, I REALLY like the Slimer one.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
People don't realize how unmotivating many of these comments are. I was very close to not wanting to make any more comments on this thread. For hours I have had to defend things when I should be working on this product for everyone.
THANK YOU very much for saying what you did.

Well you can stop defending it Dan, enough people totally get what this mod is about. Once these are available your gonna have a tough time producing them fast enough. I won't be putting it on a game but in my gameroom wall as art.

Quoted from Litedpinballmods:

Thank you for the idea. Basically it would be a version with out the stand or relay, just a wall mount and access to the videos. I think I may need to do that, let me talk with Chuck about that.
No promises, but per some requests, I am working on some generic water, space, jet fighter, space ship, pool and ocean life videos. Also I am working on a Black Knight spinning bust.
If you have other requests, please post.
Thanks
Dan

I hope so too Dan, I want it for wall art also.

Quoted from flynnibus:

I believe the brush concern was not about the motor - but how the rotating part of the assembly is 'connected' to the base. How the data or power/etc gets from the base to the rotating arm. The long term reliability of that point of transfer.
I've never dissected one so no idea from me on how they are built!

Quoted from Litedpinballmods:

I have 4 different units that I have had on for 6 months, nearly 24 hours per day. The only time they were off is when we were working on the stand or changing the memory cards. All 4 still work fine.

I think that answers your question.

#181 4 years ago
Quoted from Sparky:

Aren't these already available on ebay and amazon with the wall mount and direct plug? All you would need is video content?

I've seen them on ebay but only the cheap toy USB ones which are not programable.

#183 4 years ago
Quoted from Brtlkat:

Yes they are the ones and they are programable with a 4-8 gig sd card included.

Got a link?

#189 4 years ago

I wonder what the 4 bladed ones are like, if it's better quality images.

I feel the choice is clear, and when you have this topper.wall art on, this is going to be the first thing any one that looks at your game will notice.

Well I don't know about that.

What a great looking area. You don't know what to look at first.

People who have never seen it before stand at the bottom of the steps and just stand there looking around.

Quoted from littlecammi:

It is a great looking room...except for the distracting leg lite-ups on the pins.
(Only posted to tease him because I know those are Paul's creations.)

and each game now has a Volcano Pingulp light up on it too.

Got my wall mount version today, how do I go about getting the Premium Ghost Busters set? I'm not good with computers. Got a step by step I can follow.

#450 4 years ago
Quoted from Litedpinballmods:

The basic set has a very good slimer and a Ghostbusters logo on it.
You can look at the basic set at (these are not for downloading to your topper):
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3zsOX-4hJzEudGFGsSm3Tg
Ghostbusters is either in horror or other. Other is the biggest category and has a lot of the specific pinball themed stuff.

So all those shown on that page are in the basic set and will play when I turn it on?

Quoted from EdHess:

Hope Dan sees this. Got it all working. I did have to modify the mount since my ceiling is way less than 8ft. On my ghostbusters I have 12 inches above it. So I lowered the mount a lot. The blades are about 4 inches in front of the back glass trans light. As you can see from the video it doesn’t even matter if the blades are in front as the whole trans light is still visible. The fan blades that you see in the video are only visible to the camera, not the the human eye. Had it running in my shop and customers coming in to pickup their trucks all thought it was pretty cool. Me: I think its just badass!

That looks really good lowered like that Ed.

I haven't set mine up yet so I don't know what vids come on the card. What are they?

Quoted from GEZ-:

The software to make videos into BIN files seems to be the trickiest thing for this, looking at amazon.ca reviews. Software missing, or broken links to downloads, or all in Chinese. Only thing holding me back from buying a generic one and making my own videos for Tron.

If your ever in St Paul, Minnesota I could sell you mine, new in the box for $175.
