I am SEVERELY disappointed in how cramped the LE looks. The moving Metal Ramp, the GIANT WOLVERINE, and the Nightcrawler Boxes are disappointing. The PRO art is VASTLY superior as well.. Reconsidering my deposit.

It doesn't look like replacing the Wolverine will be easy, since his entire waist is the bash target. Custom paint job or even a dry brush/shoe polish job might be the only way to really improve the look of these toys...
Quoted from Slate:Typical Stern cranking out game after game. This looks to me like a regurgitated Transformers. Will playing it be that much different?
Really? How do you figure that?
Alright, here's where I'm at on this..
1) The figures look bad because they are SUPER DUPER shiny. if they were matte they would look a billion times better.
2) The lighting on the PF doesn't do it justice. It doesn't show typical play lighting with the LEDs and the GI lighting the field, studio lighting is brutal.
3) It looks to have some great flow and mode options, if the code supports it.
4) If anything, the PF layout LOOKS like Tron LE on steroids, which IMO is a good thing.
5) The Wolverine Backglass is awesome JIM LEE.
6) I'm excited to see the awesome mods for the Wolverine Bash Toy, Magneto, and iceman ramp.
I'm *probably* still in on my preorder.
Quoted from ebononcini:More like Taco Bell drink toppers.
To be fair, those are pretty badass drink toppers.
Quoted from RobT:I would also explain that one large/long subway looking ramp seen in the launch/teaser video.
Thats the mockup for the iceman ramp IMO. The Batman-Prototype Spinner Disc thing is also MIA in the game.
Source: a guy that justified the cost of the LE (me).
~2k price difference
Spin Disc ($200) = 200
LEDS ($250) = 450
Blue Armor ($200) = 650
Backglass ($100) = 750
Nightcrawler ($100) = 850
Moving Ramp (-$100) = 750 (Have some MEH)
LE Specific Game Modes ($250) (1000)
LE Limitedness ($700) = (1700)
Extra Clear ($300) (Unconfirmed) (2000)
SealClubber, if you paid $250 to have the PF stripped and recleared you got a great deal! But seriously, my estimates are just that, and I left out the color changing GI, fancy flashers in the apron and all that other stuff you mention.
Rai, yeah, clear coat is a layer of a polymer (varathane, etc), that protects the paint. THICK clear also has the unfortunate side effect of showing dimpling more.
