Yep, there are still a bunch of duplicates in both lists......and the ones in the confirmed player lists will be out some money for registering twice!

    Quoted from ryanwanger:

I don't understand why people are so uppity about headlamps.
If someone wearing a headlamp shines it in the eyes of an adjacent player, this can be dealt with on an individual basis the same way any other form of distracting another player would be.
We are all born with a different quality of eyesight and sensitivity to light, and it changes throughout our lives. Even height affects the angle of the playfield and glass, and thus we see the lights and the ball. You wouldn't consider banning sunglasses, stools, crouching...
Yes, the potential for distracting other players is there, but deal with it if/when it happens. (There are tons of other potential distractions to other players: floor mats, yelling, wearing headphones that are too loud...) If people start getting DQ'd for shining the light in someone else's eyes, you can bet they'll start keeping their headlamp focused on the machine and turn the light off before walking away.

Agreed, my big concern is someone playing next to one of these guys with them turned on, and they fail to turn it off as they walk away from the machine, temporarily blinding whoever is on the machine(s) next to them. I'll give Andy Rosa credit, while watching the stream Saturday when he was playing he made sure to turn it off/on at the appropriate time, however I can easily see it happening on a frustrating drain that one can forget about this easily while walking away frustrated. I would hope whatever TD or assistant TD nearby would immediately yellow card that player who fails to turn it off at the appropriate time.

    Quoted from Whysnow:

Is there a way to determine if we bought the ReplayFX ticket already?
I have my Pinburgh ticket of course, but have no idea if I already bought the actual show tickets.

You should have an email receipt from ShowClix

Pinburgh 2019 - What you need to know...

It would be nice to have this info on some kind of document or website as well so that people can print it out for reference.....

    #448 4 years ago
    Quoted from ninjadoug:

Most of the information from the video is available in the Pinburgh rules or on the ReplayFX website.

Like you said "Most", but not all. I checked before I posted, no info about the early registration process Wednesday (address, timeframes) or the onsite registration on Thursday. Having both of that posted somewhere would be helpful for a lot of people, myself included.

Note: if anybody notices anything on that thing that is wrong, let me know.

Thanks!! This is the type of info needed to be posted publicly on the ReplayFX/Pinburgh website!

Awesome show, my first Pinburgh!! Big thanks to those who put in all the hard hours and time to get this together (and still tearing it all down the next weeks).
I was a little disappointed in my qualifying performance, but the level of players overall was off the hook!!! Did come back and redeemed myself a bit by qualifying for E playoffs, but still aiming to play better next time. Extremely small differential between the divisions.

Some quick back of the napkin analysis:
    60 points possible during qualifying
    Keith Elwin - 52
    2nd place was 47
A dozen or so top tier players were in the 40s
Then the scoring got tight, as everyone was beating up on everyone else:
A Division Low qualifier by points - 35
B Division Low qualifier by points - 32
C Division Low qualifier by points - 29
D Division Low qualifier by points - 26
These numbers only show the point qualifiers, it didn’t take into account the restriction of some players into a division.
Basically with 3 points going to the winner of a match to 0 for the loser it’s a difference of one game per division.

    Wow......
