    Quoted from Mr_Positive:

Is there any benefit in going to the Harris Grill on Wednesday if I’m on the waitlist?

    I read this as....."if I'm wasted."

I wish the Harris Grill was that fun!

    Quoted from Myles32:

Does anyone know if they did a video again like last year having Steve Bowden playing 1 ball on every game in the tournament ?

Couldn't get it lined up this year with Steve, unfortunately.

    Quoted from ninjadoug:

    bummer

should have given me a call.

I suck, so would have been the quickest 1 ball to rule them all taping of all time.

    #554 4 years ago

Has the waitlist stopped being updated because its not need to or because its too close to the event date?

    #555 4 years ago

Does anyone know which part vendor will be on event?
I would need 3 of these boards which helps against resetting on WPC https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/WPC-PDA12697R

It says that you can pick up tickets for other people that you purchased them for early. How does that work with the wrist bands? Last year they had the non-removable plastic ones you had to shower and sleep with. Do they just hand you the wrist bands for the other people I assume?

Once we are about a week out, the waitlist is no longer updated as prep and moving is in full swing.

My vote for next year: Bumper Cars!

But only if they come with Pingulps attached ...

    #562 4 years ago

That is F'n awesome. I'm gonna start cutting coil wires at my booth just so you can park that next to Disco Maiden!

So it seems like last year no vendors for pinball parts only for pinball machines?

    #564 4 years ago

Heads up to all the meatball fans who go to ReplayFX (you know who you are): this year will be the first time so far when the convention is in August. If you’ve come to love the July bacon-cheeseburger ball of the month over the last several shows, you’ll only be able to get that before the show starts, so you’d have to hit the joint on Wednesday. The August ball of the month appears to be BBQ Chicken from my limited research.

    #565 4 years ago

Going to help set up in the morning (mon). Normally I go to the Pinside event calendar to add my name of the people going and see what friends might be going. Seems Pinburgh event is not even listed. What's the deal with that? pete

    Are you talking about Emporio?

Just reach out to rob kahr directly. I haven't spoken to him about Pinburgh but he may be going. He posts and advertises here on pinside. http://www.kahr.us/daughterboard.html

    #570 4 years ago

He said meatballs, so that’s the only place he could be talking about. I’ve been looking forward to the spicy pork meatballs since having it last year. Paired with a Guinness. Oh yeah.

Wondering if there are going to be any parts suppliers? Anyone know or hear of anything?

Thanks in advance, not finding much info.

I made a small clip of the Pingolf 2018 at pinball Dojo

I don’t think there are any parts suppliers, but you can see the full vendor list in the ReplayFX app.

If you pay cash, make sure to count your change. One waiter there "forgot" about $20 worth of change when paying the bill.

Maybe you hit it on a bad day? A bunch of friends and I ate there at least 3 times last year and never had any issues with the food or the service.

On a side note, if you're a food person, I'd highly recommend Altius. Gorgeous view and phenomenal food.

I love emporio and no amount of your sour-pussed 'I am determined to hate this thing everybody likes' yum-yucking is going to sway that.

    #580 4 years ago

"if I could give it a zero I would" is the "for that price that pinball machine should have sex with me" of yelp reviews.

Cointaker will have some parts I believe.

We ate at Emporios a few years ago and it was not that good. I'm pretty easy to please, too. The tacos at Bakersfield next door are very good. Ten Penny is good. Even Bills Burgers in the ground floor of the Westin I found to be better than Emporio. I've noticed on google maps there are a couple new taco places very close by and a "Cobbler World". More places to try out within walking distance!

I would be happy to sell some circuit breakers if any one needs a set or two. Each set comes with one circuit breaker in the following sizes: 3A, 5A, 7A, 10A, 15A, and 20A for $20.

If you let me know today or tomorrow I can solder on blown fuses for an additional $10 per set.

I'll be there Wed evening to Sunday morning.

Huh, that's pretty cool, assuming they physically fit with the added height of the circuit breaker component in tight areas, and it's not a DE/Sega game with pot metal quality fuse holders that are broken off and have had fuses directly soldered to them...

Seriously, that's pretty awesome, and so simple in its execution.

I posted this a few days ago and was wondering if anyone knew how it was supposed to work?

Between podcasts and perusing forums, I'm failing to prepare for Pinburgh. Cannot wait to get there though!

These are not intended to replace the fuses. They are for debugging pins that keep blowing fuses. This keeps you from going through 20 fuses to find the problem. Use the circuit breaker for testing until the problem is fixed and then go back to the fuses.

    From Mark S:

If you entered both names during purchase, you should be able to pick up both tickets separately with a valid photo ID. If you purchased them both under your name, ask the info desk to change the name of the ticket for your friend when you arrive, and they should be able to do so.

Worst case scenario, you would have to just hand-deliver the second pass, but it shouldn’t come to that.

I've got an empty room with two double beds at the Omni. Wednesday -> Sunday. It's $660 total. Send me a direct message if you're interested.

I am going to take some time during the trip to stop at Pinball Perfection and Pinball PA with a stop at Rock Fantasy on the drive home. Getting excited to go to my first Pinburgh, even just as a spectator.

Was there a Pinburgh specific schedule somewhere I was missing, could only find the general ReplayFX schedule on their site. Tryning to figure out when exactly to be there by and more so when the various playoffs would end on Saturday?
