Originally Williams used the yellow sleeves for the 555 bulbs in the spotlights (04-10094-2 reflector & socket assy) directed at the castle. These are the ones mounted on 1/4 in hex posts which were attached to the left plastic ramp.

For info, Pinball Life has produced a sweet mod for MM. Plastic that covers the ball guide at the castle entrance.
