I'm about to embark on a scratch build, and while doing a lot of research I found a couple photos somewhere that depicted the upper playflield with only the black hex posts installed. Each post was labeled with its correct height (for location purposes). The problem is... I don't recall where I saw these photos and I've spent a couple hours trying to re-trace my steps. Now I'm not even sure I saw the photos on Pinside.

Has anyone else seen this?

Quoted from LTG:

Don't recall it. I'd check out HEP restorations. Maybe Chris did it ?
LTG : )

Thanks Lloyd.

I've been on Chris' site, but not lately so that's not it. I saw it somewhere else... I wish I was paying more attention. I remember thinking "I'll see this a bunch of times again before I get to this point". Duh.

Was this a French post on a web forum? I can get that for you if so.

Maybe...

I remember that someone used white text (using Photoshop or something similar) to put a height label over each post in the photo(s). It was a nice "road map" to follow if someone was doing a build without using a completed game as a starting point.

I had to rebuild a TOTAN awhile back after someone "guessed" at the locations of all the hex posts after they installed a new swirl ramp..and they guessed wrong on at a few locations. MM has a LOT more hex posts than TOTAN!

If you can share the link you're speaking of @radium, I'd really appreciated it!

I thought it was this guy but I'm not sure this is the correct thread.

Well that's not where I found it but that's a great site and will really help with my wiring. Thank you @radium!

I DID finally locate the image I was looking for though.

Any hint about location of this clear plastic post?
Thanks.[quoted image]

Anyone have MM wood rails? Need a donor set so these can be remade. I will cover shipping if you can loan us a set!!

Here's an awesome resource if you haven't seen it yet.

I included a pic from the site (dimensions in cm).

Thank you. Now the next question is, why this plastic is clear (at non visible area) while the other plastic posts are red? Strange.

I agree - strange. And I have no idea why either...
