What an asshat.

Can I downvote this thread and ad 100 times? People like this guy are bad for pinball.

#12 3 years ago

and because of this Stern will just keep charging more for their toppers , it will never end

#14 3 years ago

n i thot cali had good dope
whats he smokin

#15 3 years ago

Too cheap should be at least 3k now! Man If I had a GB, I'd be all over this...

Yes, stuff like this sells on ebay for thousands. Look at the fools paying $18k for JJP Pirates. I thought 4 years ago it could not get any nuttier and everyone said hold my beer. This hobby is off the charts crazy now.

I wouldn't get your panties in a bunch unless it actually sells for this price. It's like when someone selling a game tells you "It's worth 10k, I've seen them listed on ebay for that price!" No you just saw it listed for sale, it didn't actually sell at that price.

Hopefully same thing here.

#24 3 years ago

Before you complain, do you also complain about $9500 pinball machines? I hope so.

If anyone wants to send me bonkers offers on my games, my PMs are open!

#26 3 years ago

You guys laugh, but I guarantee this will sell at or close to asking. Stern stupidly doesn't make enough toppers for their games, and so they all go way up in price once distros run out of 'em.

I'm telling ya, this thing will be sale pending or sold within a week.

If it’s a game that should be $2500 to $4k, or unless it’s a NIB JJP game...then yes.

I'll put it another way:

"Where else can you buy a GB Topper?"

If this is the only one for sale in the world basically, then guess what, the seller gets to set the price!

People had same reaction when toppers hit $1000. Maybe $2500 is too much but people are willing to pay huge for these things. I don't get it but don't shoot the messenger.

This whole ad is very "un-VT-like"

#32 3 years ago

Yeah, and I mean I'm not saying I like the price, just saying it's a seller's market.

#33 3 years ago

Is it a typo?
250?

#34 3 years ago

Lol, all too funny, seller and responders alike....With the market as such, can you blame a seller, for asking for the sun and the moon? I upvote seller just for having the stones to ask his price on pinside!

#35 3 years ago

“Sale pending”. Lol, sure.

#36 3 years ago

Apparently he has 2 toppers. His 9k premium came with one too! Both pending

#37 3 years ago

I’ll just say that since Pinside doesn’t allow auctions the next best thing is to put up a highly sought after item with a ridiculous price and see what offers come in. I mean it’s not his fault if someone is willing to pay ridiculous money for it. I would love to hear from the OP what he actually sold it for.

#38 3 years ago

Sold a GB topper for £2000 .. supply and demand people..

I put the money made towards a $3700 BM66 Batmobile topper... because I wanted one... supply and demand..

Looks like Munsters topper is going same way.. as well as BKSOR topper etc..

People who buy pinballs at 6-12K.. do want the whole package.. granted at the top end.. LE’s should come with a topper already!

#39 3 years ago

Jesus, I have a topper and never thought I would sell it but man I could sell this and my Kiss topper and basically buy another game.

#40 3 years ago

no more games for me
only toppers from here out

#41 3 years ago

A hard Hellll no!!!

I am glad this thing sold at $2500 even with the 20 downvotes. I am also glad the price was firm.

#43 3 years ago

4 out of 10 americans cant afford a sudden 1000 dollar emergency. meanwhile us pinsiders have quite the disposable income

#44 3 years ago

Hmm in there other for sale ads he’s selling the machine as well with the topper?? How’s that work

I think we all know what supply & demand is. And a free economy, entrepreneurship and blah blah blah.

Doesn't mean it's not ruining the hobby for plenty of others, or people that really want something, such as a topper for the regular price (or at least a decent price).

Instead, asshats buy 3 or 4 from distros, then sit on them and eventually jack prices to stupidity. Meanwhile, Jack and his two kids that love their Ghostbusters pin and wanted a topper don't have one, so some dbag can make a buck later. And now Jack can't afford one, or can't spend 1/2 or 1/3 of what his pin cost to have a damn topper on it.

One day, when this hobby dwindles down to nothing:

1. People who were in it to make a buck will have killed it, when they could have cared less about the hobby itself and actual pinball in the first place; and

2. People who paid $1500 or $2k for a topper...will hopefully be stuck with a topper that is worth jack shit.

I remember when pinball was an actual community and people enjoyed giving each other good deals, instead of a bunch of shysters just trying to make money.

So the OP is a bad dude for selling a pinball part for what someone was willing to pay for it? Poor Jack. Maybe one day he can afford a topper for his $9000 LE pin.

#49 3 years ago

holy crap

luckily I am working on an option

It’s not that simple. I said much more than that. See post above. It explains my position clearly.
