Quoted from Colsond3:I think we all know what supply & demand is. And a free economy, entrepreneurship and blah blah blah.
Doesn't mean it's not ruining the hobby for plenty of others, or people that really want something, such as a topper for the regular price (or at least a decent price).
Instead, asshats buy 3 or 4 from distros, then sit on them and eventually jack prices to stupidity. Meanwhile, Jack and his two kids that love their Ghostbusters pin and wanted a topper don't have one, so some dbag can make a buck later. And now Jack can't afford one, or can't spend 1/2 or 1/3 of what his pin cost to have a damn topper on it.
One day, when this hobby dwindles down to nothing:
1. People who were in it to make a buck will have killed it, when they could have cared less about the hobby itself and actual pinball in the first place; and
2. People who paid $1500 or $2k for a topper...will hopefully be stuck with a topper that is worth jack shit.
I remember when pinball was an actual community and people enjoyed giving each other good deals, instead of a bunch of shysters just trying to make money.
POTY!!!
