Quoted from wolverinetuner:
That’s not all that far from me. In fact for a very short while I drove truck for Schneider International, and the OC was on Wyoming south of Michigan Ave, but that was in the late 90s.
I bought Roller Coaster at PATZ a few years ago. It was on my wishlist because of the uncommon features (pointer and wireform habitrails on an EM). I think it’s an underrated pin. It’s a challenging one, but it’s very rewarding to get a good score on it.
I’ve never played Hi-Score Pool. It looks like it would be frustrating trying to guess where the ball is. Did you miss the one at Truck City when it was gone?
Didn't really miss it as there was another one closeby at West Warren Rec. which was the upstairs bowling alley on Warren & Pinehurst on the South side of Warren. Across from Pine Tree Bowl. Besides, Roller Coaster really caught my eye as it was the first pin I ever saw with "ramps".
This was in my bicycle days as I lived near McGraw & Central in Detroit. My buddies & I hit all of the Dearborn bowling joints as they all had pinball. Holiday Bowl, Schaefer Lanes, Mercury Lanes, Oxford Lanes, Pine Tree and West Warren Rec. All are gone now. The other Dearborn bowling alley I recall is Maples Lanes which was the first to close (late '80's?) but I think the building is still standing as a clothing superstore.
Dearborn also had two Arcade 5's owned by Gene Wagner & Fred Braggenzer as well as their Target International Coin Co & Archery range. They were the cat's ass for pinball in the '70's. Also their Jolly Genie arcade in Dearborn Heights.
