Looks Awesome!!
Does anyone have a photo of the inside of their cabinet? Not under the playfield, but, rather where the capacitor/bridge rectifiers and transformers are?
I picked up one of these about a year ago. I'm just getting to it today (had several other projects I've been working on).
It is in pretty decent condition. It was sitting in a basement on the ground since gottlieb went out of business. Man had bought it new, HUO from the sound of it, and he told me a switch would break every so often and they would come service it.
He said he stopped playing it and stored it when the switch broke and the company would no longer come and fix it.
I assume he had some sort of warranty through gottlieb when he bought it.
Anyway, it was sitting in a basement, had a room built basically around it and was a fun time getting it out without any keys or way in to take the head off.
Bottom is a bit corroded and musty. Diodes are all corroded as well as the power switch.
Just today wired in a new switch, turned it on, it powered on into attract mode, credited up with sound, and then errored when it tried to launch a ball and froze up.
Diving into this today and will hopefully have better news later
Side note, what's the going price for these guys?
EDIT:
So replacing the diodes at the bottom solved some issues, mainly allowing me power to the coin door and able to now use the self test.
I'm also able to start games. I can credit it up, start a game, solenoid fires but ball doesn't launch. Game makes a noise, P1 score display goes 00 and the credit and ball display go to E EE.
Getting there.
EDIT 2:
Fixed the game and it plays decently. Need some tweaking, rubbers, new balls, and a good cleaning, but all solenoids and switches working.
Just having issue with getting voice, and the credit display needs a bit of tlc but otherwise it's all done and ready for my living room
