    Quoted from jrpinball:

There's nothing wrong with a little playfield wear and a little banged up cabinet. As long as the game is shopped properly and everything is properly adjusted, it will play well and be enjoyable. Bad backglasses do bother me a lot though. It's a good thing there are options, but it may not pay to get a new glass for an otherwise marginal machine.

This... I have a Sound Stage I rescued from certain doom in a dank concrete basement under a double wide overrun with the dogs this guy bred. Mold remediation, adjustments, and whatnot and it's cleaned up really nice - but the backglass is 35% missing and trashed. It's just not worth a new BG...

I always thought of myself as a LEP man - but maybe I'm more of a MEP... nothing makes me happier than bringing them back from the dead and finding the bargains... but I'm just as happy about finding a working system 11 for $800 as I am for the $150 EMs. Bonus points if they aren't AAA games I can find on location; I'd rather get the weird titles.

Itch scratched, 1955 Marathon, no working lights, shy a few parts, lots of potential and used the wife's KIA Soul as the pinhauler
    definitely LEP man

How about 2 EMs in a Honda Fit? The heads slid right in on top. Living the LEP dream (though these were on the way out to pass along the low end love to a new home)

$100! Only needed a new power cord to get it rolling. A few hours of minor work later and it's 100% save missing the player 4 display and average at best glass

Haven't found anything worth posting recently. The low end pins are getting fewer and farther between unfortunately. Anyone feel like sharing tips for finding these beauties?

True Story - I install a switch in the bottom of my EMs and put a break in the ground line for the chimes. Costs maybe $5 and 45 minutes of effort - Priceless for sleeping toddlers and the wives that'll take your head off if they wake up.

I agree the low end designation is crawling up... I've seen almost nothing worth that designation in my area (or it's gone in the 30 minutes it took me to see it). Last thing that passed around here was a $300 Firepower (non-working). There was a $600 Jokerz listing that everyone and their mother messaged on but nobody heard a response. Is it still low end if it's just far undervalued - or is low end truly cheap and taking pride in the resurrection of a cheap beastie?

Not the lowest of low end - but for $300 and functioning - it should shine up nicely. I'm not afraid of a little planking and the backglass is gorgeous. +1 for the original documents found inside.

Here's a low end for you. I bought it back in May, but I've been sitting on it doing the repair. I'm happy to say this is now fully functional with just one pop coil and a complete reattachment of the body to head connector. (I only wish I could have met the original owner that didn't understand what a Jones PLUG is)

    $100.

Been awhile since I've posted a LEP buy. They were described as sitting in a basement, not plugged in for years, and 'should work' but might need a little tuning. Dear god they're beautiful. And $60 each.

    Quoted from PoBoyPinball:

Yep that’s kinda what I was thinking. Oh well my last night run isn’t a LEP but that’s okay.

Just cause it isn't a LEP doesn't mean it wasn't a good deal - and it helps you live to LEP another day.

My Butterfly was also a LEP - keep in mind the original color of that is an off white cream so it isn't as yellow as you might think
