I took that guard off next to the hammer too when I was working on my new hammer model. Since then I have gotten one stuck ball there. So it can happen, but it's rare enough that I just don't care. Pop the glass, no big deal. On location it would suck though.

I'm pretty sure I made out with centerflank at Terry's party, but the way his wife pours with a heavy hand it's a bit of a blur.
