Wow. That looks so awesome.

LTG : )

#3 5 years ago

Looks like those would work with the Pro too. Would they? Right now there is no cut out.

#4 5 years ago

Those look great. With Star Trek I would opt for that art work over installing mirror blades.

#5 5 years ago

Looks sweet! Can't wait to see the finished product with hemis touch

#6 5 years ago

OK. List of things to have Hemi put on my LE:

- Interactive UV pin blades. Check.
- TBD (everything else)

Thank you Lloyd... Cant tell you how great it is to hear that...especially from you.

Quoted from QuarterGrabber:

I totally agree but i am also a bit biased.. but seriously for ST LE.. the game is already so bright. I think it will be

overkill...wait to you see these on the game!

Quoted from blimpey:

Yes they could..I really designed these for the LE but We can work something out if you want since you ordered the original design for the PRO..On another note ..as a bonus..the Led cutout will be included the final product.. You will be able to remove it and do what ever you like wight the extra material.

HEMI is one of THE best... The guy is just amazing. Steve is always pulling something new out his bag of tricks,,, He is a natural when it comes to these great lighting mods. Zdoor him and myself are working round the clock on some more exciting stuff... You can be rest assured...with these guys on the job..well...

Thank you all for the kind words..The whole package will soon be posted as a set..

#8 5 years ago

Looks awesome. They make me hungry also as the large silver meteors look like potatos wrapped in foil that just came off the BBQ.

#9 5 years ago

Dunno what you guys are smoking but I want these on my STTNG.

#10 5 years ago

I have a set of prototypes Pinblades being shipped back to Joe so he can get the slots cut out for the STLE. Joe and I will be offering these off Pinball Refinery's website along with the added UV lighting effects to make these glow and come alive.... So give us a little more time to finalize everything and we will get these shipping out in no time.

Thanks,

Steve

#11 5 years ago

yes, yes, YES! The UV part has me even more excited.

Mike... you have the munchies i think!

Quoted from Frax:

Hey FRAX

Like many of my designs.. they can work in multiple machines
Right now... these are ST LE specific.. but I suppose these can be reworked for STTNG but I don't know if you have already seen my design for STTNG..

http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=2812

They also have the new protective coating as well.

#15 5 years ago

So when you do the cut out for the red lights, is it just going to look like they are shooting through space or are they doing something specific?

#16 5 years ago
Quoted from Zitt:

Yep... we will have this all ready for you guys shortly ..check back beginning of next week.

Quoted from Asylum:

Thanks KEVIN!

Quoted from Cobra:

So when you do the cut out for the red lights, is it just going to look like they are shooting through space or are they doing something specific?

The idea is .. battle being taken place between the Earth and the Moon. Since the outside of the cabinet already has the Enterprise ...the LEDS will be firing off some rounds through the battle inside. So nothing really specific in that sense.

#17 5 years ago

These look great! I'm in! I think I'd rather do these than mirror blades this time around. That game is bright enough as it is...I don't think more light reflecting off of the mirrors is needed on this one. I'll be looking back for when / where to order.

They look great

#19 5 years ago

Does the premium have the LEDs on the cabinet. In other words, would these also fit the premium?

#20 5 years ago
Quoted from pinhacker71:

The ST Premium does not have the LEDs in the Cabinet, but Joe and I will offer these ST Pinblades for the Premium and Pro.

There will be an option on the website to choose the LE or the Premium and Pro versions when you order them... I will set up the website very soon so everyone can order them.

Thanks,
Steve

If you go Refinery Pro the original design by Joe matches the blue of the powder coat almost perfect I would go that route. This design looks great as well!

#22 5 years ago

You are correct... Either one will work great... Joe does Awesome work.

Sweet, thanks dude. I have that set on the way, should be here any day now as will my Refinery package, When I saw these new blades I messaged Joe and he offered me a direct swap for the new ones (really nice guy). But if the Dude says the other ones are better with the Refinery package I will just keep those then. I was just thinking more in terms of the UV light mod Hemi has coming, you can't do that with the old ones

It's just preference, the original design with Refinery Pro powder coat looks like it shipped that way from the factory. I'm sure either one would look great can't you can't go wrong either way. I'd at least check the original design out first before deciding on it.

No worries... I will have a set for your machine and add the UV lighting effects to it just like we talked about. I am installing the UV effects into my machine today, so it will be ready for the final Pinblades from Joe and show off the complete effects....

I also have more customized mods up my sleeve for your machine ... You'll see

Ok so I ran these out of the Printer today
They look beautiful! So pleased with them. ( I know.. I have to get a real camera )

photo 3.JPGphoto 2.JPGphoto 1.JPG

I thank you for the great compliments and kindness!

As The Dude stated earlier: The original PRO versions are just as nice..its all preference (As you can see by these GREAT shots ..TY DUDE for posting)

And for all you mirror blade fans I also have some good news.. As also The Dude stated above..The special protective coating gives them a shine luster to them that sort of reflect so you kind of get the best of both worlds. You can see this in The Dudes picture above. I find that machines with LEDs display best effect.

It is preference. And as also stated above by HEMI..you really can't go wrong wither way. I used the original PRO design as a base.
After a few years of doing this.. it seems that some folks like things this way and some like 'em that way. Isn't it nice to have options?

All of the Designs will be available through PINBALL REFINERY site and also PINBALL Life for the PRO version.

I need to see a video of these babies working in the pin before I order them. I want to see what the cut out for the red lights in the cab are going to do. Last I heard they will be shooting from one planet to another?

#41 5 years ago

Here is the video of the STLE PinBlades in action with the lighting effect on, at 1:08 in the video the light turn off. You can see the BIG different it looks when the LEDs are off. The video shows it to look blue, but it is purple and everything is glowing... The camera can only pick up so much... These look AMAZING. Uploading pictures is a few.

Thanks,

Steve

Here are some pictures of the ST Pinblades without the LEDs on.... The ST Pinblades are $75.00 plus shipping.

Here are some pictures of the ST Pinblades with the LEDs on. The camera shows this to be blue, it's purple, the artwork in glowing and alive. The LEDs are on during the Klingon Multi-ball with the star field projector running as well, they work perfect together.... This LED kits is $55.00 plus shipping.

So the led kit is for the uv effect? Where are these LEDs placed?

#45 5 years ago

How will these hold up over time?

#46 5 years ago
Quoted from pinhacker71:

Yes the LEDs are UV.. Which makes everything glow like black light.... These are on rails that are mounted inside the machine... You can see them on the pictures.... I just got done playing more games on my LE... It's Completely AWESOME.

#47 5 years ago
Quoted from starbase:

I am not sure I know what you are referring to.... The PinBaldes or the LED lighting.

#48 5 years ago

The pinblades?

#49 5 years ago

I know Joe did a video of him taking scissors and trying to scratch them, well they did not scratch. He puts a protective coating over the top of the vinyl artwork to keep them from getting damage by the playfield if it needs to be serviced.... I also believe we will include felt strips for the sides of the playfield to add that much more protection to the PinBlades.

#50 5 years ago

The PinBlades will last for years with indoor use. They are made with high quality material and printed with UV resistant Eco Solvent Ink..

here is the Video link for the scratch test.
