  As I recall, the original idea for Spooky's Halloween/Ultraman design was for John Wick but they didn't get (or pursue?) the license.

  Boobs. This is why Halloween still has a higher value than Ultraman. Unless UM is getting boobs too.... This all sounds great but wanted to confirm - new animations are coming as promised right? I imagine that's what they meant by new clips, polish, and so on. They mentioned new assets coming before as well. But I don't think they are replacing all the old animations at this point, like that Sanitarium animation is probably stuck with us at this point.... would love to be proven wrong

  I am just worried about the lack of coders Spooky has. Matt is really the only one working the code for us now. I hate to say it, but him leaving Spooky is likely. Retaining coders is tough. They are in high demand and Spooky is a small company. I know my company has a tough time keeping coding talent and we are 100x bigger and pay better. Matt's an owner of Ultraman as well, Im sure he wants to give it his all and have faith in him.

  Hello folks, These mods for Ultraman are fantastic, they fit in really well with the game. The best mods look like they should have come on the game from the from the factory and these qualify. Installation was mostly smooth, had a bit of difficulty getting the bridge over the ramp but turned out great.   Worst Game Made Ultraman / Halloween. I should of gone with my initial instinct. Somehow I let myself get wooed into it. Art was fantastic though. Fun Factor ZERO. Sound ZERO. No idea what happened here. Flop like Jetsons.

  Qc is disappointing to see on Scooby. I was hoping after Ultraman/Halloween that it would not be. Ultraman/Halloween still needs help and code. Did any of the new Rick and Morty episodes get implemented into the code on that machine. I know this was talked about by Spooky but i think that ship sailed.

  After coming into the fanboy club and looking for some answers on a possible purchase of Ultraman. Like I said I had a lot of good things to say and concerns. One pinsider responded with a attitude . And yet again ,with none of my questions answered. And then I was swore at. And than I see he gets upvotes for that behavior. Some were helpful here. I did a 180 and bought a Zeppelin. I would hate to think about coming back with additional questions, and help.

  Nobody forced them to make 2 games at once That's right, so Ultraman fan's would have been SOL with a HW only release. Best you can hope for is them adding expert and final wizard modes with bug squashing in future updates, they already revamped the main screen and added mode progression/health recovery to middle playfield for Jirahs's mode.

  Per Matt in the HW thread four days ago: Super quick update: the bulk of the work for the next updates (HWN & UM) is done, testing and tweaks are under way, and when that's finished, we'll be good to go for release. And we said this last time, please update ultraman owners in the ultraman thread, not hard. Nobody forced them to make 2 games at once

  Take a look at Spooky's Halloween and Ultraman; both have identical playfields and both were released with barely alpha code. Over the year or more of production, Spooky slowly released code updates but mostly for Halloween, and that pin has for the most part held it's value. Ultraman on the other hand has tanked and can now be had for 2-3k under MSRP. Part of that may have to do with theme (Halloween being more popular than Ultraman), but regardless, the lack of code killed Ultraman imo.

  I have had my Ultraman for over a year now. I still enjoy it as much as I did when I first played it. Maybe more fun since the code has matured. I will never get my money back, but that only matters if I sell. If I keep it then I lose nothing.

  Even if there’s a new code release, the fundamental design of the playfield and the graphics will be the same, and both are flawed. I personally disagree with this statement. I think the layouts and the shots in this game are unique, well thought out, and stratifying. Halloween and Ultraman are only held back by poor code in my opinion and that is what makes it so frustrating. And by poor code I don't mean bugs. I mean the objectives, modes, and scoring are not fun or cohesive.

  I have refrained from commenting on Scooby since I played it at TPF. I really was thinking the QC issues would begin to iron themselves out in production it has not. I have also been reading the Ultraman thread and the code and issues with the machines just seem to be a long term issue. I decided to jump ship on Scooby and listed my spot in a sea of 15 others. Next time I will just wait and not jump so fast. Lesson learned.

  That's up from the lower stock position. Id be surprisded if operators were removing them and moving them up to that position The one I just saw unboxed, the posts were installed in the high spot. Maybe it's inconsistent from the factory. As an aside I looked at the TWIP article for Scooby Doo and noticed their prototype didn't seem to have any adjustments. So I'm glad they tweaked that. (Halloween/Ultraman also didn't have them)

  Spooky hired one guy to finish the Halloween ultraman code, Scooby-Doo or there future games has nothing do with how long it takes for Halloween code.

  I'd like to think that the business understands the need to deliver on expectations to maintain good will with buyers. It could be a naive sentiment, but we are a relatively small community and it would certainly hurt them if we had no confidence in future games they release. I've still got faith in Stern. Spooky absolutely torpedoed Halloween/Ultraman and Scooby Doo is still selling like Hot Cakes... although I do know people who have sworn them off.

  I need to say big thanks to Matt. He lent me his Ultraman for my pinball meeting on last Saturday. Matt was spending his own time to explain to all of us how to achieve a better score as well as how to start the modes. More importantly Matt still seeks for improvements in all the different modes.   Resources is a good way to put it. Give coders time and money and get this thing right. We have made a bet sticking it out it’s been a long time and people are giving up. I feel what your saying twofold as I'm also on the ultraman train. I'm on til the last stop hoping for the best. As for your statement. I'd like to think of it as we made an investment in spooky. We did our part, now its time for them to deliver the goods.

  This is one weird thread. It's weird enough to match the game. It's amazing, but it seems like about half of the pinball launchs become soooo... dramatic. TS4 - Very dramatic Bond - Still dramatic GTF - more of a comedy than a drama CCr- an epic looooooong drama Halloween/Ultraman- Drama here too! FF- seems normal PF - Normal, but plenty of time (and I do mean "PLENTY OF TIME") for drama GF - Maybe the best JJP rollout Rush- Normalish... I guess Scooby - normal

Fit and finish is outstanding they look great and I really like the feel of the scoop shot now it feels way more solid.   The lighting effect at the beginning of space kook needs to be repeated everytime you rip the spinners in that mode.. It's such a cool effect, reminiscent to the uv effect in Stranger things.. Aso during modes, the mode music should intensify to help draw you into the immediacy of the situation. Gonna be exciting to see this game get better and better.   When was the last update we have had on code? Like word? Just that they were testing changes to Bob and Lynda mode to try and avoid some of the problems it has when stacked with house mode, as well as them having approved new assets, assuming for the new mode and such. But don't think we've heard much lately.... as well as them tracking down a memory leak issue in Ultraman code, which I don't know if it exists in Halloween?

  Bringing a Classic Stern Viper and Big Game to sell. Ultraman CE still wrapped up from the factory, box is gone. I have two NBA fastbreaks championship linked together with giant topper and lots of extra parts(playfields, new ramps and more), James Bond LE Thunderball, Black Rose with clear coated playfield. Also some others I am not sure of yet The Big Game,Viper and NBA Fastbreaks will need to stay in the Show until Sunday Closing time.
