Bsd T2 Yes Also Ghostbusters IMHO the red dot matrix really worked somehow. Spider Man: Bad with the color DMD but oddly enough amazing with the LCD version. I'm unsure why. Unexpectedly TZ is amazing with a color DMD.

Just wanted to share a small mod I did to my TZ shooter lane plastic (maybe it’s a common mod, but haven’t came across it yet). I’ve shorten the standoffs that hold the plastic so it will sit flush on top of the metal divider and imbedded a red led strip inside. I think it really looks great and kind of OEM. I agree the original looks crisp. The CPR mirrored looks pretty good with the lights off. The bulbs you choose behind it make a difference. It can look red/orange and kinda washed out when lit. The original TZ with all the cool mods, color DMD, slightly updated code, topper would be great. TZ was my first pin and I miss it. But if they took it even further, they would sell thousands. Also consider updating the color scheme on the playfield. They should do a black and white with some color accents of the originals red and yellow and skip the blue.

Looks very good Compy, great you could finally complete it, if it is anywhere close your TZ screen mod this is going to be amazing.... Wonder how it is going to stack with "color DMD" and / or "ToM Pinduino Interactive Lighting Kit". Will keep you posted on that once ordered, received and installed. At first glance, I may want to add a bespoke little red carpet sticker to the top edge of the mirror, time will tell.

pinmister really lucky that a local place has WH2O! Such a cool concept Yea Wh20 was at a AMC bowling center-used to ditch class or take long lunch breaks in high school to go play STTNG was in the lobby of Red Robin and that is another one that I got hooked on Adams, TZ, and Tommy at Tilt arcade also notable cherry poppers :P

Thanks all. I asked the question because there were a couple of sale listings on the internet that stated (without evidence) that some early TZs were sold with light red housings for a very limited time. I wanted to see if anyone had heard of this. My sample TZ didn’t have any other obvious aftermarket items (and light red housings don’t seem to be generally available on the aftermarket) so I thought this was a possibility.

Hey all, I’ve got a sample TZ with the third magnet that has a light red clock housing and front lens which needs to be repaired or replaced (the rear screw holes on the housing are stripped and the clock keeps falling onto the playfield). My question is whether the light red housing is factory original — if it is I’ll try to repair it and if not I’ll replace it with a new white housing. Thoughts?

That ebay mod illuminates the gumball machine with a color-changing LED. @billsfanmd might be looking for something else. Thinking back, my TZ must have 2 gumball mods. One is an always-on white LED just to brighten it up... The other is a flashing red light when it is ready to load. IMHO that is the way to go.

I'm confused, you said you moved the clock and all it's wiring harness over to the other TZ and it worked fine. Why would you be messing with these wires if that's the case as these were proven to be ok? The one with red connector is a new one because 2wires were pulled out completely. Just showing what was done to the clock. Both work great in the other TZ

Just bring a TZ prototype with red boards. It comes with a lot of features removed from production like: another opto board, 2 additional PCB with flashers, 2 more optos switchs and so on... this pin was crazy expensive to built and experience a severe cost saving. Interesting, what was it you didn’t like about them out of curiousity? just the overall look? I have a trio in my funhouse that i really like.[quoted image] The BIGGED thing for me was the cool-white downward-facing LEDs. I used warm-white in my TZ, so the cool-white stood out like a midget at a dwarf conference. Had I used cool or neutral whites in my TZ, I would have loved them, yes. :) I got color-matched tops, so got one Red, Yellow, and Orange, instead of going with warm-white tops.

Why are all the car mods of mid-50s red Ford Thunderbirds when the car used in the Hitch-Hiker episode is a light colored 1959 Mercury Montclair? Only other reference to a T-Bird I could find in the TZ series was a 1962 model in a different episode. Or is everyone trying to match the red convertible car pictured on the playfield? That's not a 50s T-Bird either but its closer. Just curious.

Anyone ever try the colored pinballs in any of your games? In my Avatar, I used a green and a blue one. WOW were they fast !!! and hard to see which added a fun extra challenge too. but they did wind up in places that a reg pinball wouldn't because they are so light (Think powerball from TZ), so I had to stop using them, but it was fun for a while. Has anyone tried any in Deadpool? I was thinking of red and yellow. (I don't think there's a really good red, it's more like pink)

The family and I stayed at riverstone. It was very nice and close to the main drag of pigeon forge. The pool and lazy river there were great for the kids. As for pinball we hit up red rocket and had a great time. Plenty of stern premiums, jjp offerings including pirates and an Addams and TZ for wpc games. Overall the games were very well kept with only a few minor issues I could note.

I got it working this evening. I do admit to have cheated a little on the wiring for the emitter. Per Ed Chung's website: http://www.edcheung.com/album/album08/pinball/tz.htm I wired the emitter up in series with the right magnet emitter. I then hooked up the receiver to the white/red row and the green/gray column. I put the machine in switch test, and now have a working switch 82.

You can get them from me. What problems do you have, with what colors?? Do you have my board and when did you buy it??? They are red and it came with my TZ so not sure where the board came from but they are little squares with 4 prongs. They seem loose and will light up if I get them just right but the vibration loosens them or something. Hey, sweet. It's a USA machine, assuming that's a good thing. Made on May 2, 1996. Thanks much for the tip on the trough switch, I will see if I can get that sucker dialed in this weekend when I install my SOL and EB LEDs. While I'm down there, anyone tossed a trough light into their AFM and what color did you use? Was thinking maybe blue for my TZ, would an orange or red be too tacky? Maybe just warm white?

Indeed. I have Stern glass, AP magic glass, and Invisiglass installed. At this point my one game which lacks it (TZ) looks noticeably “reflectly”. It is bothersome to say the least. Voodoo glass would rectify that for sure. The biggest difference I have seen is the minor hue they all seem to add. Invisiglass is a tiny bit on the green side, Stern glass a bit blue. Not sure on the AP magic glass, maybe more red than anything (although this may just be the Houdini playfield)

Having trouble with my TZ. I went to play this evening and I just get a blank dimly lit display. That is it. All lights are lit on the boards except the the light on the display board is not lit. I have pin sound and LED display. I have a kahr daughter board and the solid red light is on. I have reseated all ribbons and connectors. Also all fuses are good. Any help would be much appreciated. Who is bill? His too. :) I made sure my TZ was in absolute darkness. Not sure how long it takes for red to fade out, but my guess is not long.
