I'm assuming you have aq-25-500/34-4500 in there. That is a pretty strong coil as it is. You might be able to squeeve in a Stern j-25-475/34-4500 without the spring washer. A-24-570/35-3600 may be stronger but I don't have one to ohm out. Those might be the 2 choices you have. Going to try both of these... the second one is also used in truck stop so if nothing else It goes into my spare parts organizer box for truck stop.

Bally/Midway 6803/Sys11 Speaker Replacement Question Post #2 in topic

Posted over 5 years ago by EdHess – in Tech: Alpha-numeric ‐ Last reply over 5 years ago

On my truck stop I used flipper fidelity speakers for a system 11 machine. They turned out to be larger diameter. Mounting tabs Overhung the cabinet inner size. I mounted to the cabinet and made a filler panel to hide the light using the old mounting wood. Used the old mounting holes in the old panel to create new larger holes in the same locations in some larger firm material that is normally used for picture frame borders. I just did this last week.

1988 Ball/Will - Truck Stop - Check FU-1 or Field Fuse Post #6 in topic

Posted over 5 years ago by EdHess – in Tech: Alpha-numeric ‐ Last reply over 5 years ago

Also have a truck stop here. Had the opposite problem. Ball would not eject into the shooter lane. First I changed the outhole switch as i noticed a second press of the switch would make it eject. No difference but since a second press made it work, I theorized the vibration of the solenoid to move the ball into the optos was enough to make a bad connection complete. Resoldered all solder joints on both opto bards and cleaned with alcohol both emitters and receivers on both boards. No failures since.

Otherwise I'd recommend a tornado foosball table. No maintenance worries and it's more fun for 4 players than pinball. When I was in college my roommates and I all chipped in for a table. 1,000% I took my coin-op Tornado table with me in the back of my truck 1,300 miles when I left for college. Played almost daily and hours on the weekends. Best party game ever especially when you force people to stop egg beating, then they get destroyed :)

I was probably around 7 or 8 as well, distinctly remembering going to Chuck E Cheeses and playing the Super Mario Bros pinball. No matter where I was in the building, I would always hear "Oh Yooooshiiii!" over any other sounds in that arcade. My SMB today is the most sentimental machine of any games I own because of this memory. I also remember playing Who Dunnit and Red & Ted's roadshow at the small casino arcade of a steakhouse/restaurant/truck stop that our family would frequent. Fond memories for sure.
