  Chas died, so everything was pulled from Chas. And a great guy he was....just saw this thread and really caught me off guard when his name appeared in context like that....miss the guy.... The world would not be right if the Tron VE thread didn't get resurrected every now and then I suppose....a VE with all the features of an LE for $3500 or something like that.... :doh:

  I know anything is worth what someone will pay, but asking $28K for a pinball machine? Yes, the TRON LE listed is what I am talking about. It is going to become a point when this hobby prices itself out of the market. It will become the rich man's game and the everyday guy gets pushed out all together. My rant.....

  ... socket location. As far as I can tell from photos and videos I've seen of other Tron LE machines this bulb and socket is supposed to be there. They must have missed it ... transistor in the cabinet :P EDIT: Actually, I just found an under play field picture of another LE on IPDB and it too is missing the socket in that location, so maybe I'm just ... show the socket and bulb there though.   What a bunch of whiny self entitled babies. Unless your looking to flip an LE, what is the problem? If you wanted the LE and got an LE because that is the model you wanted awesome! Same thing was argued for years over a possible TRON vault with lighted ramps, I had 2 TRON LEs and I was all for a vault with lighted ramps. It wouldn’t make me enjoy my LEs any less. First world problems regarding an inessential toy we should all remember we are lucky enough to be to afford.

  Took a 7 year break from pinball, sold all my machines when I had kids. Now the kids are in school (grade 2 and 3) and I’ve gotten back into the hobby. Missed it too much. Wish I had kept some of my older machines though, especially seeing the premium some of my previous pins (Tron and LOTR LE for example) are now commanding.

  ... ’s what I’ve bought without playing XMLE only had seen the reveal pictures and promo video. Tron it was out for a while so got to read reviews and gameplay videos. TNA pictures ... and gameplay tutorials. R&M only pictures and promo video. Godzilla LE pictures and livestream. A lot, A lot of times I’ll want a pin and will get to play ... . Of the pins I bought without playing. XMLE didn’t love it was ok but not great. Tron (love) R&M and TNA (love).

  Retro TRON would be the way to go. Same layout, different art and media package. Tweaked rules. Maybe make the drop targets from the LE part of it too. Have modified mini-games on the screen from the original arcade game. GG you hear me?? Make my dreams come true!! :D

  Tell that to the thousands who sell their NiB games after 30 days. Don't know what NIB has to do with it...I recently sold a TRON LE to someone that decided to sell it after 2 weeks! Just because the game wasn't for him doesn't mean it isn't a great game. In fact, IIRC, one of the big reasons he didn't like it was the smaller ColorDMD. Oh well. For me, pinball is largely about what's on the PF, and that ain't changing via an "update".

  I have the Twilight Zone mod and was about to preorder the Tron mod, but will have to wait until they get the moving recognizer toy issue fixed since that is a key item that makes the Tron LE a Tron LE. The animations on the mod look really awesome though.

  I just traded my Tron LE away for a pair of games and some cash. Value at about $14k. There were no full offer bites at 15.9k. If someone else gets $20k for theirs, good for them. No reason to slam on an asking price

  Even NIB Tron Pro came with the crappy photocopy manual. (Hell... photocopy would be better... these manuals are more like a early '90s fax) And I believe the Tron LE was the same as well. To my knowledge, there was never a color digital copy for Tron, like there was for older (and newer) Sterns. I think the latest Tron owners manual reads “in the event any issues arise, list your pro for $11,000, and your LE for $20,000, and wait for the vault!” But that could just be a rumor.

Side note: There is a Daft Punk Multiball that the Tron Pro will never ever have that is written into the code.   Just because someone asked 25k for tron doesn’t mean it sold because it didn’t not even close. Some sold for about 14 and you want 22 for a game not even as close to rare as a tron le please. This has to be a joke which is why they added a forum. You know the ad is fake when they start saying don’t really want to sell.
