I just took in a HUO Tron LE loaded with 2k in mods including pinvision. I am attached to my Pro I modded and not sure if I am keeping the LE. I have a HUO Tron LE with tons of cool mods(Pinvison display/moving recognizer, Flipper Fidelity,etc.) that I took in on trade and not sure I am keeping(I am attached to my Pro that I customized). I have never seen a Tron this loaded and it is spectacular. Looking to trade for a Premium/LE Bond or a Premium/LE JAWS or will consider outright sale as well. There is a ton of interest in a TRON vault - has been for years. TRON vault will be different than an LE, it may be better, but it will definitely be different. Same game as the LE perhaps and instead of the lit rails, side expression. You can do so much more with expression, I agree. Love me a Tron.

People have traditionally lost money on NIB games, LE or not. Sure, there are exceptions like Tron LE, but for the most part a game loses a substantial amount of its value the moment you open the box and start playing it. The pandemic temporarily changed this, and people were actually able to sell used games for more than they paid for them, but those days are over. The market has now settled back into a more normal groove.

And if your home pin isn't in a line up with other pins, the shiny cabinet sides. ...and mirrored glass, signature (doesn't matter), and some other stuff I'm probably forgetting. Why are drop target desirable? Ehoh has stand ups and it works fine. In rush, the targets go down and reveal another shot, but if there is no shot to hit behind the targets, why are drop targets needed? Stand ups are more reliable too. Depends. It’s fun to knock them down. My take is drops slow down the game a bit. So, it depends if you want fast or slower action. If you like drop targets WPT is an awesome game. Also, I like the play of Tron pro better than the LE as the LE slows down with the drops.

One can dream. Keep in mind that they just re-ran Stranger Things and didn’t include the UV Kit…so a Tron released with lighted ramps seems like pipe dream. I don’t need light ramps like LE on TRON. An LCD TRON pro with updated high resolution playfield, new cabinet style, and movie clips and upgraded stereo sound will make me ignore the LE version for sure.

Tron pro remake??? No thanks. If stern could do a re-imagined Tron pro with lighted ramps, then maybe. The difference between the Tron LE and pro, both with no mods, is night and day. Tron pro with updates to bring it into 2024 tech and blow the previous pro out of the water; enough to make the LE owners including myself to second guess everything…. Bring it on

I think I would actually pay $13k for a LOTR or Tron LCD limited edition with updated art. Well, if what they are saying in the article is true, there will be no more LE remakes. I assume this includes Tron. So if they hold true, it would be a remaster of the Tron Pro? I would definitely pay 7k for an LCD Tron Pro.

Elvis was years earlier and had an LE. LotR LE was also before Avatar LE. Did Elvis have an LE? I didn’t know that. LOTR did have the re-issue LE version of LOTR in 2009, 6 years after LOTR launch. But the first game released with a choice of pro or LE seems to be Avatar, except for Elvis, I guess. After Avatar came Rolling Stones, Tron, Transformers and AC/DC. Stern was officially in the optional trim-level biz by 2010.

Only real con from my opinion. Is that this needs a two slot coin door w DBV. Reminds me of when the Tron LE single-slot door did NOT go over well, especially with a friend who operated one. I guess a decade is long enough for that lesson to be forgotten.

Did Elvis last longer than ST? Traded elvis for tron, yes that actually happened! Had it for a few years. I have had star trek 4 times. 2 pros, 1 premium and 1 le. If your a star trek fan its a no brainer. I would be happy getting elvis back. Elvis is a great fun game with alot of shots. Not a fan of his music, but it was great game. Elvis all the way for me. And I love star trek.

Lol, I thought this was never a possibility BUT THEN someone, I'm vaguely familiar with, recently put their Tron LE up for sale and they, emphatically, a) don't need the money, b) don't need the space and c) collect a lot of pins. When I saw their ad I did think to myself that "Stern must be making a vault/remake of Tron" afterall...caveat; please bare in mind that I have never met Gary Stern at a pin-show, Holiday-Inn or otherwise.

I'm in - my fav pinball of all time and the one flaw was corrected. LE art is awful and although I could live with the premium, this is exactly what I was looking for. OG for sure. As for the movie code - not sure why you can't just install the older code onto this. Maybe stern has changed something up? Great news. I’m assuming new art Tron LE is coming out shortly.

Thanks. Those were interesting reads. Makes me think why do we have coin door as standard if vast majority is huo? Why not make that a bolt on swap accessory and pass on savings? Ok ok. I know just make your own thread.... You guys are saying You're living in the matrix Stop flappin your jaws and get Back to the future.. of pinball... Stern did. I got my nib Tron LE with a single chute door, no mechs inside. I had to buy a standard double quarter door to make pin look like on location.
