Operation Thunderbolt Arcade Gun Coil Replacement Post #1 in topic

Posted 123 days ago by themotherbrain – in Tech: Generic ‐ Last reply 123 days ago

Hey all! Slightly off topic but sort of a pinball question. I have an Operation Thunderbolt cab that the right hand gun Coil is weak and I would like to replace it. The Coil part number is c1101225a for reference. I'm hoping somebody can perhaps direct me to a similar coil and this would be the place to ask for advice. Thanks for any input you can give.

I had a loose flail ball and it scuffed the lower ramp directly under the flail. I cannot identify the ramp part in the manual. Working with Stern, but hard to replace when we can’t find a part number. It’s different that the Pro version Marcos offers because of the thunderbolt cutouts for the LED’s. They show the upper ramp, but not the lower. Anyone have a part number or suffered this ramp fate? [att=5991405,2218990 caption=""][att=5991405,2218991 caption=""]

You will get a callout "Jackpot Scoring Event" and "Super Skill Bonus" from Mother. You know why MM is my favorite game. Because I just can’t get enough for hearing « jackpot », « suuuuuuper jackpot » with some thunderbolt sound in background. So enjoyable. Of course, Alien is not the same ambiance and the scary sound « closer to the Target » is a really succes in many MB in the game. Maybe I would hear « jackpot » more often somewhere..

Kennywood is great, but I think the best spot for Wood these days is probably Hershey. Comet is a classy old classic, lightning racer is a ton of fun, and the Wildcat is batshit crazy. They all look fabulous at night also. i'm with you. the thunderbolt has the best start for a ride ever. t here is no hill up, as soon as the coaster leaves parking it go foward and drops down a ravine. quite a surprise to start a ride and unexpected if you have never been on it.

The KC market seems pretty bad in general. Granted , I'm new to the scene but I've spent the past 5 months trying to find an older SS within my paltry $1,500 budget and there's nothing. You can't find an early SS game in nice shape for $1500 or under? WTF? I sold several SS games for $700 not to long ago. Hell, I have a nice rare Thunderbolt i'd sell for $800. Nice playfield, near mint backglass.

Posted over 6 years ago by rotordave – in Pinball road trips ‐ Last reply over 6 years ago

Rode it for the first time in 1979. Do they offer re-rides for $5.00? IIRC, it was $3.00 back then and re-rides were $1.00. Last time I rode it I think it was $6.00 to ride. Today it's $10.00 US. Yep, $10 a ride today. Didn't see a price for a re-ride. We also rode on the new Thunderbolt. Very cool new coaster. Also $10 a ride. There was an old wooden coaster also called Thunderbolt that stood in the same spot until it was demolished in 2000. rd [att=3056518,664312 caption="image_(resized).jpeg"]

AC/DC Invisible Lightning Bolt Mod Post #8 in topic

Hello All, Our AC/DC thunderbolt flashers replace the existing flashers with rear-firing LED's that flood the playfield with cool white light, as well as lighting up the entire artwork plastic facing forward. The mod is plug-and-play using stock connectors. Noah had your thunderbolt flashers and decided to remove them (http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/price-check-used-acdc-canon-and-lightning-bolt-mods). I assume this was to save his eyesight and actually enjoy playing the game more....
