  Have been trying a change of tactics. Just focused on ramps, loops and multiball. GC went from 18.6B to 32.6B. Kept away from the temptation of going for the ship until multiball. I know it’s nothing new but if you haven’t given it a long term trial, it’s a must.

  Im a flipper and proud of it. In terms of a phone anyway. I know smart phones can make life much easier, but I intentionally do not have one because of the temptation to look at it all the time. There are too many things in the world to see, hear, smell, touch, etc. that cannot be experienced on a screen. A similar discussion was probably being had about the time televisions were becoming mainstream. . . not sure how many of those were breaking by being dropped though. :D

  I just saw Evanescence a couple of days ago with Lindsey Stirling. Very good show. Not one of the best, but it was a good night. The best performance that I saw was by a band called Within Temptation. That one rocked.

  My NB will leave one ball as @Drano describes if two are locked at the end of a game. Turn the machine off then on again (as I imagine a lot of locations would at the end of the day -- the turning off part) and that ball will be kicked out. . . I think that kickout fires whether a ball is present or not at startup so leaving one there while the game is left on makes sense as a lure/temptation. Interesting pinball psychology!

  Just like the title says, what song makes you cry or pulls on the old heartstrings. Wedding songs? Something else? For me it is Believe by Savatage and if you have not heard it and have kids, bring some tissues. How about you guys? Given that you like European metal, you should give a listen to Within Temptation - Our Farewell. Maybe it was the fact that I had a beloved pet die about the time I was listening to this album, but it's definitely an emotional song for me.

  My next game to do is Metallica Pro. For Metallica I want the ability to set the white and RGB colors using an app on my phone Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. you don't need teh RGB. don't even give yourself the temptation to make your game look like shit. Stick with the warm white. You are doing great. Plus it's cheaper and looks 1000x's better.

  Yep. That was my gut feeling...but I was in the middle of running ground braid and it was almost irresistible to not ground that- glad I resisted temptation- it's basically just a wire in the circuit of the game so grounding seems like engineering a short on the one hand.... but it's also technically on the correct leg so maybe it would work. I always feel like I should just "know" this but in this case it's weird to me. Maybe it's because it's a bit piece of metal and not a wire!! Thanks!

  If I have a bad first ball I first generally turn the machine off to resist the temptation of holding down the start button. I then throw my Out of Step LP onto the turntable, and repeatedly punch holes in the ceiling with my studded gloves. Then, power the machine back on and try again. Rinse and repeat as needed :)

  Thank you, that's what I was looking for. I don't usually worry about resale, but good to know it's not even a valid justification for an LE anyways. I'm normally premium, but wrestling with my first LE temptation. At least there's peace in knowing I will just have to reach deep inside for this $1,200 decision, and logic isn't going to save me, ha!

  So sorry to hear that time has come for you. Pets are awesome but it’s a trying time when their health fails. It sounds like he had a very full and loving life, take some solace in that. My only recommendation would be to not immediately replace him as the temptation will be to fill that hole. Allow yourself whatever time you need to properly grieve and then be able to fully welcome a new friend.

  Im starting to like having these London games, as long as my team isn't playing Staying up late Saturday night allowed me to miss that game in it's entirety even though I had woken up while it was on, I resisted the temptation to flip the TV on until after it was over. Just as well. However my newly renewed Sunday Ticket allowed me to watch the Panthers put a hurtin' on Brady, and beat the pats with a last second field goal.

  This type of issue is almost certainly a single switch gap or a loose screw causing the issue on one component. Dont go crazy fixing things that are not broken and introduce new problems- resist the temptation to "just look around and fix anything that looks weird". I have caused myself issues doing this! Dont have time to look now but schematic is the way forward! They are on IPDB and are FREE!

  The temptation to part it out is appealing. Most games are parted due to the cabinet condition or lack of a replacement backglass coupled with a bad playfield. You have a good playfield, but a trashed cabinet and the wrong motor board. How's the backglass? From what you have described, I say again what I said above; try to find either version with a trashed playfield, and install your playfield in it.

  Well it's never been a temptation for me. I like to look a horse in the mouth, so to speak, before purchasing. My collection, and wallet, is small enough I only buy games I *know* I want, have played, etc. I would like to hope that the pre-order months and years in advance thing is toast. For one thing, all the subsequent drama on pinside associated with pre-ordered games is tiring, to say the least. :sick:

  This one looks like it might be fine there. Hard to tell with the small pics. It does look like a big chunk is missing above the score reels. Anyway it definitely looks like there is $300 worth of fun in it. I'm just making excuses to talk myself out of it. Reality is, I doubt I'd be able to keep it long term. No space left and I really like my other games. Usually in these situations I wait long enough for someone else to buy it and relieve me of the temptation.
