I looked up the other Ka-pow/Stern announcements and Batman 66 was in Sep (2016) and Beatles was in Oct (2018) so maybe BTTF will be in that same Sep/Oct window?

    Van Halen would make a much better rock pin with all the flamboyance of DLR. Ozzy just stood there and rocked back and forth. But Im certain Stern would turn it into a bland mockery like they did with LZ. With Stern, the bigger the band, the shittier the game. Beatles,Led Zep. If Stern does BS, its going to suck.

    Nice that bad huh. I wont say bad, I only played 3 games(left a game for someone else). Im not a pro and cant really comment on the rules, but every shot on the pro is WAY UP THERE lol. This latest Stern would be way down on the list to buy for sure. Havent played WWE yet though and a "simpler" TNA is 10x better Like Beatles. The bigger the license for Stern, the less you get, for a higher price. I will check out a Prem/ Le if i get the chance, but a pro wont get any more than the $2 it got from me. YMMV

    Would be great if people have the resource to refabricate the 3,4,+ style drop target banks etc, for these games. I know of someone who is looking into this but I don't know how far along he is. Actually, after seeing one of the drop targets for The Beatles, I would rather have The Beatles style of drops. They are small and light weight. Now, if we could get Stern to sell them on the side for a low price.....they are nice. But you still need transformers.

    Couldn’t agree more. If JJP had done Zeppelin or Beatles I would have bought one immediately. 21 full songs on GnR, 10 partials on Zeppelin....... JJP getting that many GnR songs had nothing to do with the it not being Stern, it was licensing. The Beatles and Zeppelin are the hardest music licenses to come up with. If either had 21 songs the pin would have ended up costing 20k.

    I'm still waiting for my LE to be confirmed from the distributor, but as I look at this, the fact that JJP got licenses from Gibson and Fender is either pretty damn amazing or Stern was pretty lazy. Yeah Kapow/Stern was able to get the licensing from VOX, Ludwig, PanAm World Airway, Rickenbacker and Gretsch guitars for the Beatles. It’s possible if you try I guess.

    Happy for everyone that is getting their dream theme here. I won't have any skin in the game, but I do like the Pro cabinet art while others seem to hate it. I am disappointed in the recycled artwork and images but I'm sure there were licensing issues. I wish Stern would take more time on original artwork for all their pins. IM, TMNT, JP, and AIQ were all great. Pins like The Beatles and LZ seem like they are stepping backwards.

    If the LZ pin will have the same amount of songs that GNR has, my head would probably spin 360. I know it will not, though. I am amazed that Stern even got the license to do a pin from LZ. But I really, really hope that there is at least 12 songs (whole songs) In my opinion there is no reason to even do a pin if if there is 1 min restrictions, like on Beatles. (even though SR i famous for short ball times on his pins :D )

    I think the biggest thing I worry about is that the licensing may have cost so much that they will skimp on the game..... that and who’s doing code Aside from the time limitations on Beatles, Stern has been pretty reliable in securing the songs you want to hear in any of their Rock machines. We can always want more but acdc, met, maiden, AS and even the Stones have pretty solid track list. I’m going to guess we see minimum of 12 tracks on LZ.

    Is Beatles considered a success or did not meet expectations? I don’t want to say it was a failure. Seems you can still buy all models and the cost was definitely higher than other games due to licensing I assume. My wife, daughters, and I just couldn’t get into it. Just didn’t seem like we were playing a music pin but playing an old Stern Seawitch. Would a new all designed game have been a better option than a re-skinned Seawitch? Hope they pull off zeppelin if it gets made.

    It’s ridiculous this is sitting. I paid more for mine with WAY more wear than this. I still wouldn’t dream of selling it. Seawitch is one of the best classic stern’s and certainly the most affordable nowadays. Star Gazer is a completely different layout but not as good. It’s just more rare so price is higher and the art is fantastic. I prefer seawitch over Beatles, the adjustments to make Seawitch the best game ever is in the fan club thread on Pinside.

    There was an interview within the last week or two where they said they made 1964 Beatles, which isn't true. Hopefully Stern learns their lesson from so badly overpricing Beatles.     Stern remaking a Bally/Williams title like CGC has been doing is very unlikely and akin to a pipe dream. You may see another classic Stern Electronics layout come to fruition with updates akin to The Beatles. Stern has a large design team.     I’m calling it now, BTTF next Kapow/stern release, whenever that is, maybe first of the year. During Beatles discussion at expo 2020, Joe said, “maybe next year we can do this again, (emphasis) in the Future”. Maybe wishful thinking but his voice inflection on “in the future” was definitely emphasized. :)
