Biggest Pinball Machine Letdown vs. Biggest Surprise Post #50 in topic

Posted 12 days ago by DanMarino – in All Pinball ‐ Last reply 8 days ago

I’m pretty surprised how much I like the Stern Beatles machine. I’ve only played it on location. I think it’s very well done and approachable. Understandable modes. Cool lights. Happy music. Magnets and spinning disc. 4 flippers. Challenging but seems fair. Disappointment for me far and away is Jersey Jack Guns n Roses. I couldn’t get past the limp plunger. Had no idea where or what to shoot. Looks pretty. Will never play it again.

Most Difficult Modern Stern (Spike 2)? Post #2 in topic

The Beatles is up there just because of the layout. TMNT is a pretty brutal layout. But I'd probably pick Jurassic Park, it's a tough shooter with a lot of code depth to get through. I don't find the layout of Stranger Things that hard, but it does have a lot of stuff to work through. I don't think Stern has made a Spike game as punishing as The Walking Dead (one of their best games). That game regularly kills you for making shots.

Has Jaws been rumored a Kamikow pin .If it is , does that count as a cornerstone ? No. Stern-Kapow collaborations, including The Beatles and Batman 66, are considered "boutique" games and not cornerstones. The timing of Venom's announcement (July), Stern moving to a larger factory, and not much on the schedule for November all point to the likelihood of another game announcement before the end of the year.
