    Kanedas rumor he heard was karate kid. I'd be ALL in on that one. Hoping that's true. Same with turtles. Not into Karate Kid or Goonies - both seem real dated now. I think the next Stern will be the re-skinned Led Zep game. Beatles wasn't a hit with pinheads but I heard it sold pretty good, so expect same kind of selling model.

    You forget this game has been in development and cooking for two years already since announced at TPF 2017 Doesn't mean anything at Stern. Beatles was a wildly different design before Trudeau got busted and it was taken over and completely redesigned. Nordman being gone to Deeproot hasn't done any favors for the development timeline of 3lvira. You can't count on the machine having an even or long development cycle. More likely it's been in development hell.

    Out of our 9 most recent purchases only two games have not had this defect and that is Alice Cooper and Oktoberfest Effected titles : Pirates LE, Black Knight Pro, Beatles Gold, Batman 66, Wonka LE, Jurassic Park Pro, Munsters Premium In my data group it is effecting 78 percent of the playfields , and only from Stern and JJP

    Stern also does many of their play fields in house. They use multiple supply sources on many parts...that way if a factory gets flooded, you are not out of business along with them. Does anyone know for sure the ones having issues are all from one source? Stern's transition to in-house playfields wasn't so smooth. Pretty sure we're still seeing the effects of their experimentation with IM/Beatles/JP playfields.

    Joined the club today. LE 565, born on 8/15 (my dad's birthday). My wife loves it, as do I. Installed SW 1.13 update right away, so no diverter issues. Had a couple air balls stick in strange places. Great fun. Very different than Stern (we have LOTR, SWLE, Beatles). Wonka is slower (a bit) and you have more of a chance to place shots.     Black Knight and Deadpool definitely didn't have the cable. I believe Stern stopped including DBV cable early in 2019. Our Deadpool had the cable in it as did Munsters and Beatles. However, BKSoR and JP didn't. Anything produced after a certain date won't have it, but ask your Distributor or Stern to provide one and they will.

    Stern Pinball was back at Comic-Con with over two dozen machines throughout the event, all set on free play.     Pooling doesnt warrant a replacement, chipping does. That's the difference. Pooling often leads to chipping as we have seen (including on the Iron Maiden that had just pooling and now has a chip). And Stern has replaced at least some Beatles playfields with pooling, so there's that.

    Doesn't Stern also buy from Micro? If so, has anyone complained recently? I've heard they do fill ins with Mirco, but never seen any proof, except that Stern has had the exact same clear bunching problems occasionally, too. Seen it on Iron Maiden and Beatles recently.

    Looking at that list, Stern has been pretty lame since 2013. But... 1. Deadpool 2. Spider-Man VE (Mostly because SM 2007 remains so great) 3. Black Knight: Sword of Rage 4. Munsters 5. Metallica As for the Beatles, it's only better than Striker Extreme (barely).

    The problem with this is they are in a market where their main competitor is at a lower price point and doesn't currently have play field issues This is absolutely not true. Stern has similar issues. Deadpool has art coming off the playfield if you remove guides that were stuck to the clear at assembly. Iron Maiden and Beatles both have playfield clear bunching around posts. It's not nearly as widespread as JJP, but Stern DEFINITELY has similar playfield problems on some percentage of the runs.

    I think the Beatles is a solid title. Stern took one of their best "classic" layouts, Seawitch, and improved upon it. Great theme, solid rules, reliable machine. I say go for it.

    8 months later....Beatles sales are in the tank. Gameroom Guys has them on sale, can’t get rid of them. They were in the tank a month after release. The Beatles store sold their last one the same month it was released and has sold zero for 8 months. There are sub $6k deals already on demo models here and there. Feel sorry for the suckers that paid through the nose for Diamond and Platinum models. If Stern gets it at or near pro pricing, they MIGHT be able to make the other 964, otherwise, it's dead.

    I played a gold model today and was semi-surprised by how much fun this is. As a bonus the pin looks much better in person than it photographs. If this was not such a money grab by Stern (or I was an avid Beatles fan) I'd seriously consider buying one, they did a really nice job with it.

Like I said yesterday, if it uses parts from the "big brother" pins this will lower Sterns costs (higher volume parts orders) ... they purchased Chrysler. They made Chrysler use Benz chips which reduced the cost to pennies while still charging Benz owners full boat. As ... "brand" which seems to be a big theme on the Stern website.

    it does look like a fun game and i'd be on board all day at $2000. i realize that they can't make it profitable at that number but pricing it at the same level as a used Stern Pro just seems crazy. i know its different target markets but still. the spinner does look super good and seems like it might be the same one on beatles (which is amazing).

    This product’s success comes down to selling price. If the game is priced at $10k like Beatles gold, it will sell badly and the amount of complaining will become unbearable. If it costs $2k ... needs to be under $3k to reach masses and tap into the unserved community. While the game will cost Stern less than $2k to make, they need/expect to earn $2k per game ...
