On a side note watching the Pens losing horrible to the Kings was unexpected tonight. 4th loss in a row and no scoring trouble for us. 4th loss, 3 of which to losing teams. Tonight’s game is as brutal, no one in front of the net. Pens with 36 SOG and not one was off a rebound. Only the 5th game this year for LAs goalie and 2 win. Pens need few of the stars to get injured again so the young guys, the ones Rutherford hasn’t traded, can play and win games.

I've only bought 1 game over the $1500 threshold and that was Centaur. Most of the 40+ I bought/fixed/sold were less than 1K. Titles like Black Knight (really nice), Firepower, Stern Stars, several Xenon's, Flash Gordon, many Paragon's, Playboy's, SBM's, and more. Of course they needed fixed, but getting a cheap game and being able to drop another $500 in it will build a collection. Many I sell to friends.

It's drop target assemblies however, are far superior to the Ballys of that time.

An update. I swapped in the Lamp Driver Board from my Mata Hari and the game worked fine. Stars LDB in Mata Hari works fine. So I swap the boards back to their original games and everything in Stars works fine?! What could this mean? Repin board and connectors J1 and J3? Seems weird that these connectors would cause booting problems as they only drive the controlled lamps? I would still like to know why that happened because I didn't like that and it could happen again. Any ideas?

I tried some glow-in-the-dark paint on a space themed playfield once to accent a few stars. But, once the clear was on, they would not glow.

Original and Touched Up - 1 of 14 done. It's not perfect, but it'll work until I can load it into Inkscape or something else.[quoted image][quoted image] Looks great! I wonder how white those sections originally were? I always assumed they were off-white, going by the unfaded colors under my posts. The stars and SPECIAL WHEN LIT points still look normal white on mine too (even right next to the other sections that turned tan). Maybe it's just an illusion though .. hmm?

It’s a damn shame what this world has come to agreed, but so far has not helped this person to sell his machine. OP, if you think the fact this game had Kobe on it and he has now tragically passed somehow makes it more valuable, take it to Pawn Stars, see if they see any inherent value of that fact. Maybe you can gain more spotlight and be on TV! Please don't try to insult the Pinside audience with such douchebaggery.

That makes more sense to me. You'd think the teams would want to scrap the Pro Bowl too, to avoid having their players hurt in a meaningless game. But if everyone's slow walking it, maybe there's no real threat of injury anyway. I agree it should be discontinued. The game itself. They even change a lot of the rules so it’s not really the same anyway. Keep the skills competition and even expand on them. Maybe some battle of the network stars type of events :D
