I don't have a Star Wars yet, but I've been lurking regarding a Premium / LE. I actually prefer the comic art quite a bit. I actually kinda hate getting NIB games, so buying new is not in itself a positive for me. So, the debate becomes the comic version I like better, versus a heavily discounted HUO old art. I had been looking at HUO LEs, and a new comic Premium is about the same as a HUO old art LE. Hmm...

I definitely like the original art over this comic version. I don't really see the appeal at all. At least if you're gonna do comic-style artwork, have Marvel do it so it matches up with all of the comics they are doing. But Star Wars is a movie series first and foremost, so it doesn't make much sense to me to have a comic styling. But hey man, the more options the better for everyone.

For home, I really enjoy games that have an "adventure" aspect as well as scoring. I agree with others that #the-hobbit is another good option for such a machine.

This game definitely shines at home. I played it on location a few times and hated the cheap drains and the multipliers. I'm a huge Star Wars fan though so when a local tradd came up I went for it. Properly set up you almost never get a cheap drain off of the plunge. Once you get into the multipliers it adds a lot of depth and the risk/reward is amazing.

I insta-skip them every single time. As for “telling the story” - also puzzling to me, do you want every game to start with the same mode? To tell a story that’s what you’d have to do, unless I am missing something.

It seems like it'd be more intuitive to have the flippers "flip" through the award selection, and then the action button lock it in and start the counter. Maybe more intuitive, but more dead ball time, and more total button presses. I wish Star Wars multipliers moved like smart missile awards; each button press moves one to the right (wrap around the end). No turning off, moving both ways with flippers, turning on.

Munsters. worst code ever? probably Post #1379 in topic

Posted 36 days ago by Coz – in Stern Pinball ‐ Last reply 20 days ago

My Munsters pro is doing very well on location at the brewery. I only have 3 pins- 1 GB pro, 2 Star Wars premium , 3 Munsters pro. Munsters makes 90% of what GB earns, so no extreme drop off. If new code come out, that’s fine with me.

I’ve played SW in the past didn’t understand the rules like GoT but I have watched a fantastic tutorial on GoT now better understand. But I’ve tried to watch SW tutorials but still I’m at a loss what’s going on. Have to say have not seen a good tutorial of SW all seem to be version .75 code doesn’t help much. Here is a Star Wars game guide, and video tutorials... https://pinballzoo.com/Games/GameTips?id=880 I recommend reading the Shot Map and then the Getting Started sections first.

Here’s a short video I made to help you dial in the right color or cool to warm white for your translite. RGBW LEDs really allow you to get the right setting for the colors on your translite. For example, darker colors like Star Wars look great with a cooler white while brighter colors like Deadpool look nice with a warm white. https://youtu.be/HTC3pWRMuJU

Ugh, no thanks. anything animated is better than the real thing, Spiderman VE looks way better, the new Star Wars looks way better, and on the new displays I rather see animations (Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Deadpool) then the annoying video clips. Those alone made me not want to buy GOTG, Munsters, JP etc

Just about everything is in life is what you make of it. It seems odd that games that you play by yourself in your own home can somehow be negatively affected by anything. Yes there are a ton of losers and OCD weirdos in this hobby. There are also a lot of great people and a few of them are OCD weirdos. Shouldn't you be working on selling a Star Wars? ;-)

How about if you look at it from the side shining a light on it? Dont get me wrong, it does have some dimples. But it is markedly better than my original Star Trek. Paint issues aside, it seems more resistant than others I've seen (like just about every Star Wars I've encountered).
