I have an issue with the x-wing cannon on star wars trilogy. The switches and motor seem to be functioning correctly in diagnostics and the cannon fires reliably from the diagnostics menu as well. In play, the cannon does not fire reliably. I wonder if reviewing the game logic might help me determine where the malfunction is since everything works correctly in test, but not play. Almost all the spots where we just have 1-2 pins don't earn shit, but our best location (chain of barcades) where we put 5-9 games earn pretty well. Mainly millennial crowd. Mando, Star Wars, TAF, Jurassic Park (Stern), EHOH, Deadpool, Ghostbusters all earn very well. There are weeks where TAF at $.50 is the top earner in a row of 9 games, 7 of them being modern Sterns at $1. Foo, Jaws, Rush, Bond have all been dogs.

Sorry if this has been covered earlier, but I am assuming Stern stores your home team members on their end attached to the IC account that registered the machines? Was trying to think of some other way they would be able to propagate the same home team to each of your IC-connected pins, but coming up short of ideas that would make sense. Example being if you had a Star Wars at home, setup home team. Purchased Deadpool and registered it under your account and the home team members showed up?

Posted 40 days ago by kermit24 – in Stern Pinball ‐ Last reply 2 days ago

I think since Stern produces these toppers in house by hand (not China as said earlier) they don’t have the yield to crank these out in mass quantities. Of course they don’t need to charge $2,000 but it’s Sterns approach to reduce the secondary market / flippers, which was out of control with Star Wars and other toppers. It’s really the same approach as the LE games. Price them in such a way where you leave no meat on the bone for a flipper to flip.

I would have gone $1000 or maybe $1200 but not $2K. The beauty is you only need half as many people at 2k over 1k. What was Star Wars price...$500? Everyone made fun of it, said it cost way too much, the same people then bought it, bitched a lot how shitty it was, still kept it, and more eople were still looking for one way after the fact. In all honesty the less the have to sell the more happy they probably are.

Curious... at $2k they will be limiting the number of these they can sell (just because it's a niche within a niche at "baller" level prices).. So that makes me think ,they are hard to make in quantity?... but, really, if they did price them lower, surely they'd be able to get economies of scale...? I didn't see them claim it's limited. I don't think they've done that since Star Wars?

Who cares about that when others are still waiting on Jaws LE that we paid for I certainly do! I have paid for and am waiting on one of those Star Wars Premiums. :D For the record, I would totally be antsy if I was waiting on a Jaws LE. I remember this feeling vividly, waiting for my Venom LE. Finally arrived 3 weeks after the first Premiums were being shown off.
