"Director JJ Abrams echoed Iger's comments in a recent interview himself, as he also confirmed that the concluding chapter of the Skywalker saga would not set-up any future storylines that could directly lead into another potential Star Wars trilogy." Um, yeah. Neither did Return of the Jedi, yet here we are.

I´ve seen the first two parts and i thought it was terrible, just terrible. What is the target audience of this turd? Star wars sect members and people who wants to fall asleep? It’s basically an old Western, about a stranger that comes to town, hunting a bounty....but in space. I’m not a Star Wars guy, but I thought it was enjoyable so far.

Why is it terrible? ... I Think the main reason, why it´s so terrible is that there is Little to none insentive given to care about any of the characters. If you, re not engaged in the chars, then fight scenes etc gets boring really Quick. This is btw the major flaw with most of modern Movies and also holds really true to the star wars sequels, accept maybe rogue one, which besides the blind ninja was fairly decent.

I know I did, but does "Callback: The Show" make a good substitute for solid material? I groaned when I heard the Life Day reference in the first episode. There is nothing wrong with subtle callbacks, this is taking place in the Star Wars universe after all. And frankly only a well versed SW fan would even get the references to the holiday special.. It will go over most peoples heads.

I'm in the "just ok" camp. This is where I'm at. It's not terrible, but it's not great TV either. It seems like very little happens story wise, buried under a thick syrup of "remember star wars?" The new Watchmen series on HBO and the BBC adaptation of His Dark Materials are both much better so far overall.

When Episode VIi was released, Tarantino among many other celebrities was asked in which order he watches Star Wars, he said 4,5, 6. Im pretty much the same although this weekend my son asked to watch The Phantom Menace, which I only saw once when it was released. I did think a lot about Tarantino during these 2 hours of torture.

I had no idea that George Lucas filmed episodes 2 and 3 of the Star Wars prequels using 1080p digital cameras with NO FILM BACKUP. Disney Plus 4k versions of the original trilogy and the first prequel look very good, but holy crap do the two other prequel movies 4k transfers look terrible! Disney tried to upres it from 1080p to 4k and it got all blurry and weird looking. The only reason the first prequel has a good 4k transfer is Lucas shot with a film backup for the first one.

Compared to my Star Wars Premium...I think they are weak, but that may be the black flipper rubber ... star wars uses. I tried boosting mine from the 235 on the right to 255 but it seems ... the Helipad and the C shot is not far behind...those 2 shots are harder than the Star Wars Death shot to me Guess I just have to Play Better :)

Have not seen it. Do not plan on getting Disney+ . I did see the preview on MNFootball halftime, plus about another dozen commercials or promos for it on TV. Having said that it looks to be pretty awesome especially if you are a Star Wars geek, which I am not, but if it was on free TV, I would probably watch it or at least give it a try.

For a "television" series this is perfect in my opinion. I didn't feel it was so greasy with fan-service trying to cash in on nostalgia credits. I very much enjoyed it (more than I thought I would) and its got me interested in what comes next for sure. I'd say Star Wars done right.

Stern always drops the ball on toppers. Star Wars? Woulda sold a ton at game release. Now, probably not. Black knight? Woulda sold a ton at game release. Now, probably not. On and on, we’ll never see a topper for Elvira. They should just stop trying. It’s pathetic.

Is this the official Stern topper? No. It was offerred by Tilt Topper as a limited run item a couple of months ago. You might contact Dan at Tilt Topper if you want one. I placed my order as soon as I saw it because I thought it looked great and I have bought from Dan before and know his quality. And, I don't have a lot of confidence that a Stern version will be forthcoming soon. Has any one seen the Star Wars Topper?

Disney + is really going to change tv in many ways. I always liked skimming through channels when nothing was on and than catching a marvel movie or a Star Wars movie. But do I want to buy Disney? I don’t think I’ll turn it on to watch SW or a marvel movie that I have seen countless times. But, just for the new content, I might be dragged in as well or wait till the Madalorian has played all its episodes and then subscribe for a month. What to do.

When they had that D23 promo this past Summer where it worked out to like $3.90/mo for the first 3 years, it was pretty hard not to sign up, so we did. Watched The Mandalorian last night because I suspected they'd have outages today when everyone tries to log on at once (and they have). Directing was a bit flat, but it looks like "classic" first trilogy Star Wars and has great characters so far. Strong start.
