Doesn't help that Dawson looks pretty awkward swinging a lightsaber around. But hell, that's the least if this shows problems This whole episode was probably the most filler heavy yet. Light saber fight, bad guys escape, roll credits. I keep thinking of a line from the very first Mr Plinkett Star Wars review: "how can you screw up Star Wars so bad? It's like making mashed potatoes. You boil the water. You open the packet..."

As far as assets go, I was amazed at the level of assets that Stern had for Star Wars. I would have expected Disney to charge an absolute fortune for all that. I am assuming that all the actors must have already given away all their voice/image rights to Lucasfilm a long time ago. I'd much rather have "real movie" assets than "custom callouts"...

I’m cringing at the idea of Pokémon pin. Even if it’s a fantastic shooter, the volume would have to be at zero. As a Gen X, we had way better; GI Joe, Star Wars, Transformers, He-Man. I’m sure it would do well though; just not in my collection.

Totally agree. Look for a early am announcement with deadflip if then JP format is the new release strategy going forward. Then if it's like the Star Wars code drop that blew up some node boards, there will be a lot of dead node boards on Tuesday. Friday drops are great if your code is bulletproof, but this is Stern. At least with mid-week, they have a day or two to make an emergency fix.

The show is five pounds of shit in a ten pound bag. Nothing but filler and the few scraps of actually plot that don't exist to pad the runtime aren't especially compelling. Maybe people will finally fuck off with the "Dave Filoni is the savior of Star a wars" nonsense they've been spewing for the last several years.

yeah that last episode (#3) was so meh... tons of action and no emotional involvement. It's like the best of bad star wars. I actually usually enjoy Rosario Dawson, but I'm starting to hate the way she is playing this character. Nobody wants smug, self-satisfied Jedi. Alec Guinness and Yoda set the standard; humble, mischievous, mysterious, easy-to-underestimate. That is the way a Jedi must be. This show feels like two hot chicks cosplaying star wars.

I take my hat off to Pat in attempting to create an original theme game in today's market. Dialed In's reputation just gets destroyed because of the theme, a great playing game. If DI instead had a Star Wars theme slapped on it and a Death Star instead of a Phone, it would probably be the best selling JJP game of all time.

For newer games I think Star Wars and TMNT are the ones I go to for a short game. Godzilla is the longest playing game I have. Probably why everyone loves it.
