Fusion 360 should solve that issue. I remember an operator back in the early 1980's trying to order the metal ball guides that were used on Stern's Split Second as a repair for Fight 2000. He freaked out over the cost to order the part... told the distributor at that time to shove it.

I would have to think about how to implement multiple extra balls. There's some unintended consequences of doing this as you have to be able to handle odd situations and still maintain the shoot again lamp - that's why Split Second has the 'endless' extra ball bug, the add-a-ball isn't handled properly. (And apparently the Lazer Lord prototype has the same thing in reverse, the extra ball doesn't stack at all, and turns off at the next score event after you earn it....)

So no reuse of that code that makes it kind of easier as the code will be the same for blast off spotting, instead of 2 separate ones. Who thinks I should swipe the "hurry" speech out of Split second and add it to the quickshot options?? (just kidding, that drove me crazy on that game when I had it).

Auto-launch issue just crept up. Anytime the ball is fed into the shooter lane for an auto-launch, there is a mechanical "whir" sound for a split second, but nothing happens. The short "whir" is repeated until the ball is manually plunged. It started while I was in MechSuit if that matters. The trough switch tests OK. Thought I'd check for ideas before I start digging into the machine?

Does hitting the buttons harder help? Post #6 in topic

Posted over 4 years ago by 85vett – in Playing tips ‐ Last reply over 4 years ago

Yes, it's just an on and off switch. Difference is in your head. Pushing a button harder wont give it more power as a leaf switch doesn't know the difference between hard and soft. Once the path is closed its closed. The only difference is barely making contact for a split second for a tap pass or fluttering the flipper. That's just turning the coil on and off faster. It's not doing that because you pushed it softer, just because the coil was only engaged for so long.

Not sure why the downvote @thelaw Maybe I shouldn’t suggest it so certainly but I had the same issue with the 1995 JM and it was intermittent when 3 solenoids were activated it would reset the game. I JUST dealt with it so that’s why I’m so confident. These PS are dying at this point and need to be rebuilt.

Yes, the circuit is fused at a higher value than a single header pin can carry. These pins are already connected together at the header. I thought that might be the case. Just redid these pins and added a Y split to add the second pin. Ugly join, but it works. I really wish there was a simpler way of doing these pins.

Royal Flush (76) won’t tilt. Post #1 in topic

Posted over 5 years ago by newovad – in EM Pinball Tech ‐ Last reply over 5 years ago

When I got this Royal Flush, it came without a tilt bob connected. Everything is there but it is not quite working. The roll tilt works but the bob tilt doesn’t tilt the game when it hits the sides. You can see a quick spark and hear the tilt relay fire but the game keeps going. If you put the bob against the ring for a split second longer than a typical hit, the game tilts like it should. I’m at a loss. Thoughts?[att=5242168,1755159 caption=""]
