Mine was doing this on 1.05 also. One of the screws had fallen out so the whole switch housing could rotate freely. I kept telling myself that it couldn't be the switch because the ball would eject immediately and make the sound. It was the switch! Tested it in the switch test, and the ball was only activating the switch for a split second, not holding the switch closed. I loosened the switch, rotated it a bit, and all is well now.

That's the issue I'm having with this game, and I know I'm beating a dead horse, but I don't think I can justify it. As others have said, I swear it's made me bi-polar. For a split second every day I forget the price and think how good it might be, LCD, Batman, Lyman etc. Then I wake up and tell my self it's obscene to even think about it. Even given the "scarcity", I can't reason it. If it were GBLE pricing, even just for the B66LE, I think I'd be in. But I truly think Gary has jumped the shark.

For the CPU to boot, all you need is 1J17 connected. Normal MPU boot behavior for games with 3 LEDs instead of the 7-segment display on the MPU is for the "+5 VDC" LED to light first and stay on, then a split second later, the blanking LED will light and stay on. At the same time that the blanking LED lights, the diagnostic LED will begin to blink at a fairly rapid pace with a 50% duty cycle (equal durations of the LED being on then off). The blanking LED will continue to remain on.

Also noticed that half the gi is shorted out when you trigger the upper right pop bumper but the pop does not actually fire After replacing node board 11 you should really thrash those flippers in multiball, press and hold all as fast as you can, don't even concern yourself with the score. I find my LE still has the flippers dropout and lower GI at the same time for a split second and then gradually gets worse until you slow it right down or end multiball.

I think I read a few things about the resetting problems during my Google searches to figure out the issue my DMD has. Power/voltage maybe? Change that power connector to the controller, I did it on all the Data East machines I have owned. My DMD image just jumps or flickers for a split second, doesn't reset.. Almost wish it did so I can narrow down the problem a bit easier. I guess I need to buy another Data East machine so I can swap parts to figure this out!

By the way, some of the comet pinball links are dead, so you might want to modify those. I checked it out and what happened as due to the font size the address split and went on to a second line which introduced a indent and tab and mucked up the address. I reduced the font size and made it all one line - so now simply copy and paste into your search line and hit enter and you are there. I have sent the rev3 of the manual to J_M to create a link while I work out a dump box of my own.

$6k seems reasonable for this title. It's a little more than it sold for from the factory, adjusting for its rareness I'm not aware of anybody who got it for less than the $6000 sticker price. Given there was a long line of people vying for the last spot at MGC (which I know for a fact also cost $6K), and this one has some upgrades, I think it goes without saying that this would be gone in a split second if it were listed at $6k.

Traced continuity from the chip leg while it was in the socket, it's making it to the solder side of the board for each. All chips are oriented correctly with the notch facing the right side of the CPU board. The board still doesn't boot with only J210 plugged into it (solid red LED D21, D20 lights for a split second and immediately turns off as before). There has to be something damaged on the board that I just have no capacity to fix, probably time to send it to a professional!

Awesome thread. I500 is a killer game. Tough ass flippers will make you a better player. That's no lie! The exits on the ramps are right on top of the flippers! Plus the ball is going 100mph exiting the ramps. You have a split second to make a quality shot. I've played about 8 games already, & I'm still adjusting to the ball speed coming out of the ramps! Love the Turbo! What a cool toy! I'll shoot a video & post it tomorrow. It needs LEDs big time! Other than that its playing perfect.
