So the part number of the assembly that fits the right side of the Fathom play field (3 in line green targets is ASE 3039-4)? I am wondering if the 3 in line assembly from Bally Hot Doggin would fit where the right hand (green) bank goes on Fathom. Anyone have any idea? If the Special Force one fits there it's possibility that it might. I have the potential to get the Hot Doggin one if someone could confirm this.

My roommate just got a special force. I have it mostly working, but there are still a few small issues to work out on it. Would anyone have the schematics scanned in a better resolution than the ones on ipbd? If I print those ones out they're unreadable. Someone havked the display connectors real good, and I need the pin out list specifically, and I need the transistor diagrams so I can follow which transistors fire which coils. Cheers in advance

"Learner" first pin for someone with little tech knowledge? Post #2 in topic

Posted over 7 years ago by Nokoro – in Buying and selling advice ‐ Last reply over 7 years ago

I would buy a cheap SS from the 80s for a few reasons. First, many things will break, both mechanical and electrical, so you will be constantly learning. Second, aside from board problems, the repairs are relatively simple for a beginner. Third, you won't invest much money to learn. My first pin was Special Force, and I bought it for under a grand. I don't think I would have ever had the confidence to buy NIB if I hadn't learned a lot on this starter pin first.

Posted over 8 years ago by desertT1 – in Tech: Generic ‐ Last reply over 8 years ago

Hello all. Trying to track down the cause of this issue on a Special Force. Looking at the manual, the coil tests that make the fuse glow/blow make sense. I skip a few tests in the menu because those ones don't do anything to the fuse. The knocker is what finally does it. The coil on the knocker is an A 26-1200, can I get confirmation that is the correct coil? Even so, as you will see, the knocker isn't the only coil that is giving the fuse a hard time. Any help is appreciated. https://youtu.be/1RnRiPf9CHY

As I got older, one of my buddies dads bought a Bally Special Force and that was the game I played the most. My favorite games currently are EBD, Whirlwind and TWD.
