  Perhaps a short to ground? I had some weird behavior with switches all firing in the same column on my Special Force. Turned out I was leaning on the rail at the same time I was pressing the metal rivet on the switch with my finger creating my own short to ground.

  Thank you Force, that's what I was looking for. The story I was told sounded cool, but I didn't really have any way to corroborate it. The more I've looked at the machine and paperwork, the more legitimate I think it is. The manual is red stamped "preliminary" as well, but I've seen other people mention having manuals like that so it didn't sound like anything too special.

  So I recently had the clippers rebuilt on my #Special Force machine. One of the flippers is sticking after being engaged. It doesn’t hold long, just slowly comes back down. I have poked at it a little and can’t seem to figure out the cause (very noob on these things). Anyone have any suggestions of what I can look for? I have a family gathering today and was hoping to have it up and running for people to play! Thank you very much in advance for any help of suggestions!

  i'm not sure how effective SCR testing with a DMM on diode test is. Someone else recently had trouble with 2n5060. You might want to check out this thread. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/light-and-scr-question-special-force MCR100 and 2n5064 are other good part numbers you can use for the smaller SCRs.

  ecently picked upp a Bally Special Force. The game worked before shipping, unfortunately the transformer fell down during the transport and might have struck other parts in the backbox. Everything looks nice though. Anyway, the game lights upp, 9x LED flashes. Then two solenoids strikes about ten times. The display says "check playfield fuse". Can't find any blown fuses. I'm all new to the 6803-era of machines.. Any ideas?

  I am about to get a special force this weekend. It is stock players condition, with 1 cracked plastic. I don't have time to read through this thread currently. Any quick tips that would help make this machine feel like I am on combat. Maintenence tips, must haves and must do. ThanKS warriors.

  This comment is as worthless as tits on s bill unless you mention the names of the games you bought. I bought a fun $490 pin too....a raven Great game! Esp for that cheap. In the past few months i have purchased supersonic, nine ball, and embryon each for under 1k There are plenty of great games out there for us poor dudes. I sold special force and that is also a fun game.

  What are the chances someone has a Special Force plastic set they'd like to sell me? I have a few broken ones, one that's missing, and one that a previous owner must have made himself. That last one is the plastic that hides beneath the stack of bushes and guides the ball in to the lock. He didn't do a great job, so most of the time, the ball just bounces back out.
