Speakeasy acting strange Post #1 in topic

Posted over 7 years ago by Validpowerdetect – in Tech: Early solid state ‐ Last reply over 7 years ago

Moved to Fla, and am getting the games set up. Speakeasy does this: When a ball is served up, the tilt lights come on, and flippers are disabled. All other solenoids in the game continue to work, including wheel spin. When the ball drains, tilt lights go out, next ball is served, tilt comes back on. All tilt switches have been disconnected.

Speakeasy flyaway targets: how they work Post #5 in topic

Posted over 8 years ago by fireball2 – in Tech: Early solid state ‐ Last reply over 8 years ago

When the ball rolls from the front side, they are supposed to swing up and lock out of the way. From the back they just let the ball roll through. When all 5 are locked up, the bank resets down. Get them in order, you add-a-ball. Get them all in any order and it jacks your spinner value and your bonus multiplier at the end. I have a working SPeakeasy if you need any other help. mark Edit: only one other game has these targets. It's a baseball themed one called Grand Slam, I think.

It will run through tests, but it does not play some of the sounds I have seen games play online. Two notable sounds that it does not play is the "general sound" that plays to fill empty space. It also does not play the sound when the ball its the outhole. Just trying to compile a short list of things to check when diagnosing the sound on the machine. Thanks.

I guess those plastics break easily Guess they do. Had same problem when I got my game so I mirrored the design of the right lane guide with a metal bottom piece. [att=2826221,588176 caption="Speakeasy Andet.jpg"][att=2826221,588177 caption="Speakeasy Første.jpg"]

You're right but you will probably have to repin some molex connectors to match the wires one by one. After trying to put a fireball II playfield in a xenon, medusa and speakeasy, I came to the conclusion that bally maybe deliberately made them incompatible.

Eight Ball Deluxe help needed...odd problem Post #2 in topic

Posted over 8 years ago by wiredoug – in Tech: Early solid state ‐ Last reply over 8 years ago

the ball guide ? its length is 2-31/32 its bally part number used to be M-121-27 none of this will help.. you will only find it on someone wrecking a playfield. and no one wrecks ebd's.. that would be stupid :) BUT ... the secret is.. the same wire was used on speakeasy and hotdoggin... finding a wrecked one of them will be easier good luck on your search :)

Alright, after taking everyone's opinions into account, watching all sorts of videos, and reading tons of reviews I'm officially on the look out for Metallica and Fish Tales. Already have a line on Metallica so I should be good there, Fish Tales may be a little harder. Sold my PZ and have sales pending on Speakeasy, Elvis, and BBBB. Just posted a FS/FT ad on JP as well. Time to shake things up! Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

Help with AS-2518-22 Post #1 in topic

Posted over 8 years ago by dbpbandit – in Tech: Early solid state ‐ Last reply over 8 years ago

Working on a Bally Speakeasy. Are the test point voltages on the "AS-2518-22" (bigger one in bottom of cab) the same as on the others like a "AS-2518-50" (smaller one in back box) ??? Also, how much varaiance in voltage is acceptable without a load? i.e. no other boards connected to it. Thanks. -Dave

No pins yet. My great uncle is totally fixated on owning KISS; he's about 65. I've been trying to find him one. I do think he'd like SpeakEasy, so when you get around to selling that let me know. Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for a KISS around here as well. Speakeasy is actually on hold for someone, they are supposed to be picking it up later this month but if it falls through you'll be the first to know. It is such a beautiful game!

There are other Bally pins ... , Rolling Stones, Malibu Beach, Miss America Deluxe, Eight Ball Deluxe, Mississippi Riverboat and of course, Speakeasy. Can anyone add to this list?

Looks like Speakeasy has a fiberglass playfield. Anyone know if they all did? Yes, I think all of the Speakeasy games had a plastic playfield. I had one for awhile and I think Ben in league has it now. Are the fly away targets intact? They are hard to find if they're broken.
