Space Station - U10 PIA Failure Post #9 in topic

Posted over 2 years ago by MrCleanHead – in Tech: Alpha-numeric ‐ Last reply over 2 years ago

(Update 2/15) Well, I had another Space Station here so I swapped boards and Im good to go. So its definitely isolated to that board. For now this U10 PIA Error is going back in storage until further notice. I may sell it or just use it for parts as games come and go since it needs more work than just the error. BUT I will keep updating this thread if I find a solution and/or someone still wants to give advice :-)

Are William System 9 & 11 Machines the "Best Value" in pinball now? Post #25 in topic

Posted over 2 years ago by Ryguy80 – in All Pinball ‐ Last reply over 2 years ago

Pretty much all working common System 11 games are above $3k USD now, except Jokerz!, Comet, Big Guns, and Millionaire. Police Force has creeped up to $3k and low $3k mark, same for High Speed, and I have seen Cyclone listed for low $3k. Space Shuttle and Space Station flirt with $3k, if it's a good player's condition. Jokerz! is probably the best System 11 value right now in terms of price and Pinside ranking. I guess relatively speaking to the $5k and up premium titles, System 11 is still a good value.

I encountered an Eight Ball for sale near me that had a trashed playfield. I was kind of surprised that HT is not available. EB seems a natural candidate because so many were made and so many have worn playfields. The playfield itself does not appear to have licensing issues as the backglass would. Seems that game would be a good candidate for a future release. And Space Station :-)

I want to start working on this beat Space Station I've had in storage 10+ years, but when I bought it there wasn't much left of the original translite, so I would never want to put the game in my lineup to work on it without one.

High Speed is fun, Taxi, Whirlwind, and Swords of Fury are all significantly better than Jokerz, in my opinion. Diner is also good. Space Station is somewhat one dimensional but I would rate it ahead of Jokerz among the second tier group of games (the tiers in my head, of course). I'd avoid Big Guns.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Robo War and TX Sector are both in very good shape and are looking fantastic. Space station' cabinett looks worn and has some damages. Could you guys explain me a bit more in detail why you would choose robo wars first? I like the dropdown shots there! But I also like TX-Sector a lot. Space station has no inlanes which I think is also a bit odd......

Hey maybe you can help me out with this. I was listening to a classic rock local radio station. They play a lot of 60's- early 80's classic rock B side stuff. Anyways, I just caught the ending of a song, like space or prog rock with a wah or maybe phaser in the guitar in the repeat riff and it had the lyric "you could take it with you" or something like that, in a kinda steady repeat. What song is this and by who?

I was feeling good the day I shipped it, so I threw in the right sling and a spare keychain. Like I said, it’s small. But small things add up.

Had to be in the neighborhood of the factory so swung by for a cup of coffee. Newer builts have a made by DP lockbar which looks great to me. And it fits better. [quoted image][quoted image] Interesting. So this “new” style is on machines like mine that I got Thursday? Googling other pictures and I can’t tell what’s different about it than the older/other version. I thought it was a standard Williams bar. Just for kicks to test my theory I swapped it with my Space Station and they fit just fine.
