  I have a very strange issue with a Space Station... It will not count down the bonus and kick out a new ball when draining on ball 1 until it has done a ball search. - It does not happen when you have locked a ball during ball 1 - All trough switches and other switches in the same switch column register fine and their diodes are OK - It does not happen on ball 2 or 3 even when there are two balls left in the trough. Only on ball 1

  For the hum It's funny as far as hum goes, this is my only B/S with hum. I have hum in 66% of my sys11s + sys9: Diner, Taxi, Grand Lizard, High Speed, Space Station, and Sorcerer. (but NOT in WW, Pinbot, Space Shuttle)

  See my post in Space Station group as it includes schematics... I would start with the Aux Power Driver Board fuses and relays. Ohm the wires for continuity from board to coils.

  About unreleased arcade prototypes, Steve Ritchie's Devastator reused blast off sound from Space Shuttle, which later reused in Sorcerer, High Speed, Nuova Bell Games's World Defender and F-14 Tomcat. One of sounds later reused in Space Station: About Space Station i errored. One of sounds that heard in Space Station is first used in Solar Fire. Blast off sound also heard in Pinbot.

  I’m not entirely sure that one of my G.I. relays (under the playfield; see pic) is wired correctly. Can any other Space Station owners help confirm?   Was there something unique about the Space Station cabinets and specifically about how the backbox mounts? Reason I ask is that I bought a couple new replacement 2” standard wing bolts and they aren’t quite long enough. Just wondering why.

  All I know is that I have a Space Station playfield out of the cabinet right now. It lived a couple of years with no glass on a porch, so everywhere the mylar didn't touch, the paint is crumbling. I can live with it and just lay down a playfield protector and watch it get ground to dust underneath, or hard top this bad boy and not worry about it for the rest of this century. I know which one I would prefer, but I have to reassemble this beast at some point...

  Just replaced all the caps on my Space Station boards and was wondering if I should replace the big blue (or gray in my case) cap in there as well. Is it necessary? Was just doing some PM. I’m not even sure what it does exactly. Is it a filter cap coming right off the transformer? Space Station is an 11b, so already has the fuses before the rectifiers; so no bridge board needed (I did use it in my Space Shuttle though!)

  Gonna be putting my space station up for sale. Game is in good condition with titan rubbers, comet cool white LED,s incandescent flashers. Bad: translight needs replaced in my opinion, has fade and some cracking. I’m currently touching up the cabinet, coindoor bar installed so removed and filled the holes and going to repaint coin door. Also doing some other cabinet repairs but nothing major. Game is in good condition with factory Mylar. Asking 3K, possible trades for other machines. Thanks

  Could someone tell me what kind of black paint is best to use on the cabinet? Maybe a paint code from Lowe's or similar? I am going to do some touching up to the cabinet, mostly on the backside of the cabinet and backbox. I got some really specific paint codes for work I did to a Lethal Weapon and also Funhouse and wondered if there were similar specifics about the black used on a Space Station. Thanks.

  “Condition Green” is a unique feature of Space Station - you have to start multiball to see it. Most of us use LEDs (white and green) for Space Station because it’s really dim otherwise.

  This never was uploaded with the Captain Marvel movie from three years ago and thought it might be nice to have in the database. Towards the end of the movie in the Kree science space station used by Mar-vell (the scientist, not Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel is the heroine pictured below. :) ).   Dug around and I had a new one from Pinball Life, same result, it only rotates one direction. Relay or worst case something on the board? I have a Family Guy I can try the board from. Figured try the motor as I had similar issue on Space Station.

  Plays like a full mylar I hate them I’ve never noticed a full mylar playing any different. Biggest mistake of my pinball career was pulling the mylar from a NOS Space Station playfield. I should have left it alone!

  Hi, I have a space station and recently found out by looking at pictures of another that I am missing a spring that goes under the rotating space station assembly. I have had issues with the ball sometimes getting stuck on the assembly, this explains why. I cant find the part (spring) listed in the manual. Anyone know the part number or a part that will work?   Midnight snack. That night crew is slacking off a little bit. Good placement on the tarter though. Here is mine from lunch Sunday: Good bun, toasted not steamed. Damn near perfect on the tarter, reminds me of the Space Station bumpers. Maximum coverage to the edges without going over. Just slightly off on the cheese, not enough to cry about.   Does anyone happen to have a spare left gate for the left locked ball? I overlooked it when I bought the machine and it was broken laying up near the top lanes. I can’t seem to find one on Marco, Pinball Life, etc. [quoted image] My right one broke and I found one close enough on marco. It wasn't marked as being the space station gate. I bought a couple different ones and hit the jackpot!

  I had a chance to meet Barry at Pintastic, what a wonderful person and talented designer. His creativity has brought smiles and enjoyment to many. Space Station is only pinball that has given me seller’s remorse. RIP Barry, you’ll be missed.

  Hardly "empty" or a void, as it contains everything there is! It is rather empty, though, on average. Good thing, as fast as Earth whips through it, along with everything else! And FFS, perhaps more importantly, they didn't say it tastes like space! I heard today that space smells like burning metal. They get a whiff of it every time they open the Space Station for deliveries.

  (Update 2/15) Well, I had another Space Station here so I swapped boards and Im good to go. So its definitely isolated to that board. For now this U10 PIA Error is going back in storage until further notice. I may sell it or just use it for parts as games come and go since it needs more work than just the error. BUT I will keep updating this thread if I find a solution and/or someone still wants to give advice :-)
