I have a Williams about 10 years newer, Skylab. When it starts, it first steps the ball counter to zero, then steps it up to 5 (or three). Is yours stepping up or down? What's th ball counter on the back glass indicate? It might be trying to count to zero & never sees the zero switch open or close.

I also added a few 455 "flasher" bulbs behind the back glass (2 behind the space craft and one behind the moon) , it also looks cool when the game is on, but "idle". Also, is there any chance I could get a copy of your cards? I need a good set for my 5 ball game.......

Price check on a RARE Machine Post #2 in topic

see the note at the bottom: 'Spacelab' is an add-a-ball version of Williams' 1974 'Skylab'. It is convertible to replay and novelty operation. It's like saying "only 100 of these made for japan", but the same game by another name was made 3,000 in america If you want real rarity, how about the OCC pinball (12) that incredible technologies made: http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?gid=5097 granted it's considered "test unit", they do have a unit at the pinball hall of fame in vegas

I almost forgot, at one point I had a 1982 Bally BMX (406 made) and a 1974 Williams Skylab (3651 made). My ex found a guy that had them mouldering away in a garage, he said ... I sold the BMX for the $100 I paid for both, and I ended up giving away the Skylab to a good home, after holding onto it for 2 years and not making any progress on ...

Hey I'm new here. I have just a few observations. Two of my machines are not listed in your database - Skylab and Apollo. Is there a way for me to add the machine to the database ? Also, when I added another machine I own - Apollo 13 - to the database, the price I paid is not showing up on the other page, where the other machines I have, are. Thanks - Mark

Apparently it is another version of Skylab, of which 3,600 odd units were made. You should register the model/serial number via the pinball database, you will need to become a member to do this (it is free).

I recently acquired a Williams spacelab machine (which is the add a ball version of skylab) My question is when i light all the letter sin spacelab, am i supposed to get an extra ball instantly? or does this just light the bonus light on one of the drain lanes? or is it supposed to score after draining? None of the above seems to happen except the 2nd one. Thanks to anyone who can help

1974 Williams Skylab? Post #4 in topic

Posted over 15 years ago by HELLODEADCITY – in Buying and selling advice ‐ Last reply over 15 years ago

Hey if that Skylab doesn't pan out , look into a Williams Space Mission (11,652 made) or a Space Odyssey (4,300 made) http://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?any=space+mission&search=Search+Database&searchtype=quick I own a Space mission and it kicks so much ass but a real challenge to maintain if it's your first pin (relay city man!), Williams was on top of their EM game with SM & SO before they made the jump to Solid State games. I often see 3-5 come up on Craigslist everyear awesome artwork.
