    We had a Briarwood/Brunswick "Skate King" that our parents bought for Christmas. It lasted several years before the ball shooter assembly broke. I had to McGyver it to make it work. We gave it to another family when we outgrew it. While it was definitely not even close to a commercial grade machine, it was pretty solid for a home pin.

    Well, there were a few fairly large home model machines. The Bally "Home Editions" come to mind, of which they had a version of Fireball, Captain Fantastic and two others. All the same playfield/software, but with different artwork. IIRC there was also a couple by Coleco, and Brunswick had their "Skate King" machine. -Hans
