(taken from the Simpsons) And for a more constructive comment, if I were you I would consider getting EVERYTHING placed correctly then strip the whole thing, fill all the speed holes and sand it good then re assemble it all. Trying to fix all those holes with the playfield populated will be a nightmare and will never look good, not to mention all the micro particles of sawdust n crap you will get in all the mechanicals and little crevice's.   Matt.

  I'm a collector, almost impossible to have just four haha... But I have been going through this exercise trying to downsize my collection. I'll have to go with Scooby, Ultraman, Simpsons Pinball Party and Ripley's. Mostly a combination of my fave Spookys and HUO condition older pins I've picked up.

  This is more my speed. Turtles premium BKSORpro Simpsons pinball party I don’t have the space nor the funds to tie up too much in pinball. I wish I could-So many very cool home arcades Here! But I’ve a happy balance. My goal is to add one more game partially stuffed into a closet alcove. It’ll be tight with two machines flipper to flipper. But I think it will work. Barely. Lol.   I wonder if this will end up being one of those things that makes a Spooky game, a Spooky game. The fact that they can now tie in the color scheme on the cabinet to the playfield is a very cool thing. Were they the first to do this on as a standard production thing or have these ramps been done like this before by another company? Data East did use collored ramps back in 1990 on the Simpsons, Back to the Future, TMNT and Rocky and Bullwinkle, just to name a few.

  Am I the only one thinking that 24 is a great spot? I'd say this for any pin being in that spot. +1 Heck, one of my favorite games is Simpsons Pinball Party and it's been ranked #33-37 for a while now. Just because I would put it in top 10 doesn't make me butthurt that its #36 right now. #24 for Jaws is a high ranking, especially for a game at code 0.87

  If not sold prior, I have a Spirit of '76 pinball , used Laser Cue Backglass, used but descent Gottlieb pop bumper bodies from Spirit of '76, nos Doctor Who playfield, No Good Gofers nos spinning wheel assembly.   Curious did you see any Godzilla pinballmachines in Japan? That should tell you if Pokemon pinball would be accepted in Japan. "0" Godzilla Pinballs, I went to Tokyo the past September, stayed at the "Gracery Shinjuku"(Godzilla Hotel) and no GZ Pinballs around… I was expecting at least to see some in Akihabara(District) and there was just a place that has "1" JJP Pirates OTC, and "1" The Simpsons PP that’s it! I remember @pinmonk mentioned that in Japan they’re not fan of pinballs and that’s true.

  Hi there. New guy here. My Simpsons pinball party has a sag from the heavy transformer. Seems like the exact same issue as you. I thought of using your exact method to repair along with some glue on the brace I see it separated from. I’m wondering if slowly jacking up the center as screws are installed from beneath would work well? Good luck! I’ll keep you in mind as I explore fixes. Jeff

  Santa and others have mentioned most of this - just one thing to add- These licenses (ghostbusters and simpsons) are broad and popular enough that there is a constant and steady stream of folks with space in basements and just found out about these pins, and these people are also likely to artificially inflate the price of these games because they are not informed shoppers.

  Didn't realize they were that different on the earlier DE's, good luck. Are you sure th lower cab speaker isn't blown? I think you're in the wrong club. This is for Stern The Simpsons Pinball Party from 2003, not Data East Simpsons from 1990.

  You have to adjust for inflation. All those old titles are about the price of a current Pro, price adjusted into 2024 dollars. So you'd get about two, similar to now. They'd just be more mech-heavy. TSPP was $4,795 msrp. Inflation calculator says that about $7,900 now. That's actually more inflation than I had expected but yeah, the main difference being moving parts. Simpsons was packed with mechs. Also DMD were a lot more expensive then the cheap LCDs used now.

  The Simpsons has enough content to make as many individual machines equal to how many Marvel pins have have been made and I’d probably buy every one. Especially if it’s based on S1-10 content. I considered myself a pretty hard core fan through the mid 2000s but haven’t seen a full episode after season 13 or so. Coincidentally my son has surpassed me in watching so there’s definitely cross generational appeal with my sample family of one.

  My Data East Simpsons has developed a problem. First ball feeds into the shooter lane ok but once it goes into the out hole the second ball never feeds (trough #3 is empty) see attached photo. Game says it's still on ball 1. I suspected the out hole switch but the out hole coil fires and the ball gets added to the trough. I've checked the switches (out hole, trough #1, #2, #3) and all are ok. Any ideas where to look next. [att=8042151,3784771 caption=""]

  Crypt is a good layout, Tommy I'd like to give a long term test. Secret Service has great call outs and light lightshow, the ramp shot is tough for me to make for jackpot but have several times. Time Machine is excellent and don't overlook Laser War for cheap fun. How much fun is the Data East Simpsons machine? I've only played it once or twice on location a long time ago.

  I was changing out the fuses on my just acquired Data East #simpsons project. The PPB has 5 5amp slow blow fuses. The first two I pull are 5 amp slow blows so I think "Maybe I don't need to change the fuses". The third one I pull is 2.5 amp slow blow. The fourth one is a 4 amp.   I was changing out the fuses on a newly acquired Simpsons machine when I noticed that in the manual in the fuse section it called for a 3A fuse at the F6 position. However in the board schematics it calls for a 3A slow blow fuse. Normally I would trust the board schematic over the general part of the manual, but I don't want to put a slow blow where a fast blow should be.
