WTB/PriceChecks: WhiteWater & Scared Stiiiiiifff Post #2 in topic

Posted over 12 years ago by bemmett – in Buying and selling advice ‐ Last reply over 12 years ago

I just lucked out and picked up a totally restored WH2O with new decals on cabinet and playfield in perfect condition with all new plastics and ramps recently installed. I got it for $2,500 and considered that a steal! I would estimate one like that going for $3,000 or possibly even more with the money it had put in it. No idea on Scared Stiff price but I feel it s a little overrated for what I usually see them priced at. I prefer the original EATPM still.

Yep, 2 Dennis Nordman games. Elvira is fun and after many games, I am getting into the groove with Wh20. I know a new friend with Scared Stiff but only go on occasion and I just can't stomach a smokefest bar to play Wh20. They don't have to be Excellent or Great shape. I see these games have been rising/hard to find, so I better get to them soon. My quest to manifest deals for them is going on right now.

You haven't missing the expo. It's the first weekend of March. Not many places that I know of that has pins. The airport has about (3) pins and there is a Kart Kountry that has some pins, but I can't advise which ones they are. I heard the airport does have a Scared Stiff there.

If not for the fact that ive still got atleast 4-5 must have pins on my want list i think i would have commited but considering i can get my Fish Tales,Whitewater and Scared stiff for around the same price,i just couldn't do it. You can find mods at most of the parts houses - Bay Area Amusements, Little Shop of Games, MAD Amusements, Marco (a few), and like The_Dude said, Pinball Decals, Inc. Otherwise, there are plenty of one-off sites that sell mods for one particular game - the guy that makes the Scared Stiff Dancing Boogiemen and Skull Pile LEDs, Pimpmypin.com for the MM Catapult LED, etc...

I know Peter Koch does Serial Number stickers, but I'd like to be able to create them myself rather than bug him all the time. Thanks!

XedMada: Even if it's not an opto or other hardware issue, numerous software bugs are common on games. I just "discovered" one on Scared Stiff a few months back (that nobody previously reported on RGP since the game was released)--and that game was produced in 1996. No biggie. :) Welcome.
