Palace/Royal guard Baseball/ Batter Up Grand Slam/ World Series (one of those I went nuts on and had Bill Davis do the playfield for me) I never had 2001 and Dimension at the same time but have been through both of those. Works 100%, new legs and levelers, Titan Rings, Comet 2SMD Sunlight in the GI and backbox, inserts are still incandescent, rebuilt flippers, new flipper bats, all mechs cleaned and resleeved, pops were rebuilt, backglass has touchup on the reds, but otherwise looks good. Solid cabinet, bottom board was replaced. A little bit of wear on the pf but looks good. The game is pictured on IPDB. Plays fast.

Royal Guard is a great game. Frustratingly fun. Keeps you pressing that start button for one more. The back of Spanish Eyes was likely the same base coat color as the rest of the cab (yellow). On the backside though so not a big deal. Replacing the particle board with plywood will be a nice upgrade for sure.

Posted 8 months ago by dasvis – in EM Pinball Hangout ‐ Last reply yesterday

I dip a small wire brush into some black lacquer paint that I’ve poured out on a paper plate. I put on an old leather glove and flick the brush with my thumb. (Very high tech!) I do it first against a piece of cardboard 3-4 times to get the bigger globs of paint off first and then when I start to see it the size I like I turn and do it toward the cabinet or head. I'm not smart enough to use a leather glove... Thanks for the tip! As soon as I get my Royal Guard cab base coat done I will use it.

Royal guard..who doesn’t like wedge heads? 4. Flash..not a bad game, but I’d rank thee others above this 1 for enjoyment

Like many, work and life in general keeps me busy. But I did finish work a lil early today, and played all 4 of my games. My comet, being the newest to my small collection, gets played the most lately..but playing a few games of quick draw and royal guard-w the small flippers really kicked my ass! Lately, I’ll play for 1/2 hr every 2nd day....

Have some games I'm considering bringing to the swap meet. For those of you that attended last year's show: 1) Were there many games for sale? Did inventory get swooped up pretty quickly, or were there games available late in the day? 2) Remember any sale prices? What would a "needs restoration" Top Card or Royal Guard sell for? 3) Were there many em arcade games available for sale? Would it be worth it to bring a big ball bowler for sale? Or would I be lugging it back home with me?

Where can I find the targets for Royal Guard? I've gotten a little lost on Steve Young's website. Do I just order the target itself and how do I take off the old target without destroying the whole thing? The targets appear to be revited together. I know this may sound simple to some but its the little things like this that drive me crazy. Help is always appreciated. Finally got this wonderful Pin up and running.
