Shout out to Electric Bat Arcade Post #2 in topic

Posted yesterday by Pin-Bob – in Locations to play ‐ Last reply today

We love Electric Bat! Their league is the biggest & best. You got the names wrong though (I'm terrible with names!). It's actually Rachel who owns it, along with her husband Cale. You should definitely check out their podcast too. We're spoiled out here in the Phoenix area. We have so many great pinball venues, especially in the east valley. There's nearly always at least one tournament somewhere every night. It might be time to plan a pinball vacation to AZ. Might want to wait until fall though.

FIXED: Indy - ColorDMD died / nonstop trough ejections Post #1 in topic

Posted 24 days ago by shlap – in Tech: DMD era games ‐ Last reply 23 days ago

FIXED: F116 fuse had to be replaced. . . . Hi there! I accidentally left my Indy pin on overnight and the next day came to find that the ColorDMD was dead and balls are constantly being ejected out of the trough when I start a new game. I’m in Phoenix so the garage it’s currently in is normal indoor temp 65-80F. Is there any common link I can check that would explain both of these happening at the same time? Thanks for any insight!

Weren't afraid to lean into the more obscure aspects of the comics (time travel, savage land, aliens) that the movies were more concerned about. I'd be here for it. My virtual pinball machine was really helpful for my cobrapin projects for Williams Phoenix and Gottlieb Close Encounters and Williams Hot Tip. I could open up the debug on the virtual and step thru all of the variations for scoring, sounds, lights, etc. If I want to get lower I can always take the xenon rom and run it thru op code analysis of the 6800, but it takes me longer to run thru the assembly code.

Because they are not in big markets and because neither team is polarizing. Also, their fan bases are very regional. DFW is the 5th largest TV market behind NY, LA, Chicago, and Phily and Phoenix is #11. Large enough markets, but I think your second point hit the nail on the head - not much of a national following for either team.

I just stripped a Williams Phoenix cabinet (no backbox or backglass). Let me know if you need something specific. Metal parts are not in great shape. Plastics are pretty nice. I'll post some of the bigger stuff on Kijiji. Someone was looking for a lockdown bar receiver for a phoenix but I can't find where I saw the ad. I've connected with Northerndude about the coin door above.

No way are you getting it decaled for $200 I think the seller is trying to convey (albeit kind of poorly) that repair for that price is doable if a person is willing to do the work. A person can order a single decal from Phoenix arcade for ~$150. A can of bondo is $20. A can of spray paint is $10. A package of sand paper is $10. Free bump - GLWTS!

What is the proper speaker ohm and watts for a Williams World Cup? Post #3 in topic

Posted 7 months ago by BullseyePs51 – in Tech: Early solid state ‐ Last reply 7 months ago

Hi jeffc, Thank you for your efforts in tracking this down and sending it to me! Now I can order the proper speaker for this machine. Thanks again! I do have a string of early Williams machines and I wonder how far this rule applies. For example, I have 'World Cup', 'Disco Fever', 'Phoenix', 'Flash', 'Time Warp', and hopefully 'Blackout.' Does the 8 ohm value cover these machines as well? Jeffc, do you have any thoughts on this?

The decals on that TZ are not Radcals. Based on what I know about those, I am not sure if I like them but to be fair, I have never seen them in person. The cabinet decals I use for restorations come from Phoenix Arcade or classic-arcades.com I prefer the screenprinted ones from Phoenix first, then revert to CA for printed ones if I have to. In this case, PA did not have the TZ decals in screenprint. Phoenix Arcade did not have TZ decals in stock because I bought their last set about 2 months ago. ;)
