Don't wanna jinx it, but I've had a Houdini before, and currently own Oktoberfest and LoV and they have all been absolutely rock solid. All totally brilliant games too. Because I've been so impressed with those - no matter what the debacle surrounding GTF is, I'd definitely still like to own one at some point. Maybe I could trade my LoV or OF for it one day, we'll see. I'd also love it if they did Cuphead I think it would make an awesome pin.

Everyone loves the addition to the game and it's surprisingly fixed an issue I had been having reliably hitting the skill shot. No fatal flaw and code is plenty deep/great. 1) Not a licensed theme, 2) not a licensed theme, 3) art and animations are basic compared to comp 4) AP’s marketing sucks. It's a real shame no one buys original themes any more. :( I was very sceptical on hearing about the theme too - but this actually looks like a super fun game to me. I liked Houdini it was a lovely machine, Oktoberfest was one of the biggest surprises I ever bought and I love my Valhalla. I'm still oddly intrigued by GTF too. Basically I think pretty highly of APs games and I'd always consider buying another. I'm a bit disappointed Cuphead didn't materialise though - I really would have gone for that.

They’re on their YouTube page Weird. Why start on twitch and archive them on youtube? Direct video is nice on Oktoberfest and Houdini, but man that playfield video is *rough*. They've had 4 WEEKS to do something about it, but keep doing the same awful streaming. The fix is literally in the mid-hundreds of dollars range. If AP can't swing $500-700 to make their games look good, then all is truly lost.

That is EXACTLY why I want a Houdini, a GTF and an Oktoberfest, but will not pull the trigger. They do not build the same quality machines they did before the pandemic. If they get a new workforce, train em up, you’re still talking months before they can produce quality again. Sad but true.

The theme to me is "eh" but I figured I'd give it a chance. The dub-step killed it for me. If I had that pin in my collection I'd never play it. Honestly. Love my game, but I have a broken weld on a wire form (Return from the coaster to the right flipper) game was built Jan of 23. It will drop the ball down into the shooter lane which is automatically launched. Not super bad because the game plays fine, but annoying that it's not playing as designed. I've reached out to American, but like a lot of owners the response has been pretty slow (aka haven't heard back after a few weeks). @ferret @americanpinball Have any connections on parts for Oktoberfest?

Assuming they stay open, I have and am happy with Oktoberfest and LOV. If they drop a Cuphead and it looks decent or better, I will be in with about 99% certainty. My youngest loves the IP and the music and old school animations are pretty spectacular. Really hoping that rumor holds! Throw into that mix the fact that LTG (possibly the GOAT of customer service, even when not an official employee) and I will be back for more. Here's to hoping!

it was a theme they did not have any kind of emotional connection to it The connection to the theme is a reason I sought Oktoberfest out, and likewise I had just a lukewarm interest in a lot of the recent pop culture licensed themes. But I think for those who haven't experienced the Munich event, some of the themes like the idea of tents and the carnival (games+rides) atmosphere just get lost.
