Oh right Mafia, when someone invited him to my house without telling me. This was at a different Mafia house. I can still picture him perched on the corner of a couch all night showing off the photo album(s). I didn't recall him bringing the photos to your place, but maybe it's because I'd already seen them by then. He got around, for better or worse.

I did! John brought a massive photo album (maybe two albums) to a friend's party in the before times. Page after page of cool, unique layouts mostly from the Gottlieb system 80B era. Some of them are on the IPDB. Oh right Mafia, when someone invited him to my house without telling me. Obviously before his fall from grace, but looking back sort of creeps me out given I have a daughter. But was cool the stuff he brought to share.

There is also a whole mafia angle in the book. And some other things very different It is probably one of the few examples where the film is significantly better than the book. Peter Benchley (novelist) had to be thrown off set after arguing with Spielberg too much over his film ending. He thought it was too unbelievable. “I’ve had the audience in the palm of my hand for two hours, they’ll believe what I tell them to”

We’ve lived in a suburban neighborhood of about 50 homes since 2001. It’s kind of remarkable that we haven’t had a single break-in or burglary that I can recall. Yet my wife still locks the front door when I go out for 5 minutes. There was one home invasion and murder just outside our neighborhood, about 10 years ago. The rumor is that the guy was in the Dixie Mafia and had his wife killed. He was out of town when it happened.

Couple reasons off the top: 1.) b/c events like that cater precisely to the type of collector that might want one for the novelty / story / exclusivity 2.) b/c unlike many of the titles from point 1 above, this one actually has a PF which is pretty decent to shoot. A good comparison is "Mafia," a similar bad game with a bad theme that nobody wanted. Nobody still wants one. The "rarity" has failed to cater to anybody, collector or otherwise.

I remember people griping about the costs of MMRoyal, Heighway Alien, POTC too while they were in production....then when they dried up and people figured out how rare they actually were, the prices went nuts. Who is pining for Thunderbirds? Cosmic Carnival? Mafia? Rarity doesn't equal desirability. It's no guarantee of value increasing.

The heavies(mafia), that would pinch the operators, didn't ask bar owners if they would like machines, they were told they were getting them. They were asked how many would they like! Doesn't seem like it Original IP build in small boutique numbers is a hard sale, even before the documented nastiness from the company.

Stern only "adds" more content because they start with so little . If it was Stern making this game , I doubt they would have pursued Al Pacino for so long and they would have gone with just the title and made it a full-on Mafia game , just like Jurassic Park , Deadpool , Avengers , Ninja Turtles

Will check it out this weekend. But beware this is not a documentary the studio did dramatic liberty with it i can tell you that a couple of scenes in this for a fact did not happen esp as its related to Jo Colombo and the Italian American Civil Rights League and their involvement in the making of GF though mafia boss Colombo did have a big influence on the making of the film. I have to point that out. Still very well done well cast everybody played a good role

Just a little trivia: The voiceover for "Multipalla Siciliana" has one small flaw: the "c" in Sicilia is an harsh consonant, like C in Coffee or Macintosh. I know that in english Sicily both "S" and "C" have the same sound. I've found this Youtube video for a correct pronunciation ( ). That callout was pretty cheesy. Makes it seem like a more generic gangster/mafia theme rather than the Godfather. Hopefully these can improve?

Looks interesting, hopefully the code will be great. imo I looks like a Godfather sim game not really true to the Godfather films. That’s probably a good way but almost could have been a mafia pin without needing the GF tie in but I guess the license sells better. I’m still wait and see mode likely pass, possibly get a Final Resistance of the several new releases available. I’m not a million percent sure but I was leaning towards a P3 unless I was blown away by GF or FF.

Because a mafia based theme is better than another Music theme, kiddy movie theme, superhero theme, or even ... it, but when I think of it in terms of the experience, I like it. its crazy to see how the initial critisism turned into big FOMO ordering. haha As said above: the trailer shows nothing of the screen or godfather integration into the gameplay: who says there is full movies integration like with the hobbit? If not, it could be a generic mafia theme. Not saying that’s not cool but I really need to see more than some vague playfield pics to tell if this is a great pinball.

There's a term they use in the music industry - over produced. This is the most over-produced pinball game I've ever seen. So far beyond the movie's tone and character, which is a good thing for a pinball game, because it speeds up the pace and adds excitement. But it could be any generic Mafia game, didn't have to be Godfather. The code and audio design will do all the heavy lifting on this one. Better be first class and complete for a hit.

Definitely aspects that read more "Mafia, the mobile game", than Godfather. I think it could definitely be fun, but I guess a "choose your family" concept just seems a bit of a stretch for the theme, even though it probably makes for a better game.

I just think if one is going to do a mafia type movie theme why not do Goodfellas? So many ways to go with that theme: Idlewild airport heist hurry-up, Maury's wigs special award, spot the chopper mode, etc, etc.... literally limitless options for modes and mbs. Anyhow.....I hope that the soundtrack is not the official Godfather soundtrack...I may fall asleep while playing.

So I can’t fully commit to being hyped. Take your place at the table. Isn’t that a very common mafia phrase though? Like becoming a boss?

Take your pick really. We got black knight SOR, DI, Houdini, Octoberfest, LOV, WOOLY, probably a few others I'm forgetting... A lot of P3 stuff: Lexi Lightspeed, Cosmic Cart Racing, Heist, Drained, Cannon Lagoon (and then software games for those modules) The Mafia, Cosmic Carnival, RAZA (it sold dozens of new preorders), Celts, Full Throttle. People are hyped for Punny Factory. There's the MM/AFM/MB/CC remakes. The 2.0 kits for Funhouse and similar kinda scratch an-unlicensed-theme-with-modern-code itch
