I would lean more DMD like POTC SM LOTR over newer. The newer Sterns are exciting with their speed, lightning and sounds and lean more difficult rules. I wouldn’t describe them as Chill. I think DP which you have and AFM next to each other would be pretty darn awesome Good luck “chilling”

A couple things you can do to fix a warped playfield. 1) Switch your OEM pine wood rails for oak. 2) If not already installed, add playfield stiffeners to the bottom of the playfield. Mantis Pinball sells them. Warped playfields do suck. Actually, mine has those metal stiffeners on the underside. Presumed it was standard on lightning, but had never seen them before. Good to know that's an option to add to other games though. Honestly doesn't seem like a bad idea, maybe overkill, but no harm.

Made it to Final Battle last night! Won't spoil anything, but the animations are next f'n level. Great update! Also, FooBot being 3-ball instead of 6-ball is key. Also agree that cool ideas like this could further level up the game. I’d like to see each city get a 2nd version (like Deadpool modes the 2nd time around). That might be wishful thinking. Need a reason to pay attention to lightning mode for example. Keep up the great work JD (and team)!

The speed is mind boggling and compared to TZ it is lightning quick with open playfield and wide ramps. Monster fast speed and flow-I really like my LE.

That's the Arduino code. This thread is the original code tweaks. Had a question about the lightning code. Is there a way to get it to kick out any locked balls at the end of the game? Thanks- Mike

Completely agree with this part. My F-150 Lightning that’s about ten years behind Tesla tech begs to differ. Tesla is SO far ahead. Of course I can’t predict the future any more than anyone else.

Anyone have a specific brand recommendation for a mix-it-yourself clear you've successfully used under the rattlecan 2k? I'm about to do a lightning with a god-awful mess of inserts, figure it'll work better to mix something for leveling all the cupped stuff, but plan to rattlecan over it. Just want a known quantity that won't do anything weird when hit with the spraymax.

Star Trek pro versus Dialed in Post #7 in topic

Posted 8 months ago by pinmister – in Buying and selling advice ‐ Last reply 8 months ago

Dialed In has an amazing layout but the theme killed it for me. I could not make a connection and it got stale quick. Star Trek is ok-feel like you kinda need to love the new movie/franchise. I personally would rather go STTNG. The cannons are awesome and it has basically same layout. The callouts and animations are also better-battling asteroid video mode gets really stale. The one thing I do like on my ST is the lightning quick warp ramp shots. Warp 1-Warp 2 Warp 3

Great art for sure. I need to commission someone to redo the Lightning glass. Holy hell it's bad. I actually like the PF art just fine but the glass.. what the hell happened?! I agree, though the lightning BG has grown on me a *little.* Solution: put your viper BG on lightning and have a solid player and looker with the new code on board ;)

I actually find that most spinner roll-backs will have the ball just kiss the west side of the spinner bracket or something, and divert the ball over towards the right side of the machine. The shot that scares me the most is when the ball rattles up the van ramp & stalls right near the top and rolls back thru the flipper gap with lightning speed.
