  TCM kills Jaws. Jaws will sell more. I’m this close to pulling the trigger on a TCM! Just never had a spooky. A bit scared of reliability. But the game looks amazing But I’m just holding out to see if jaws is better, then I’ll make my decision.

  the days of stressing out for a le or ce are gone , u can get anything these days and they will rerelease stuff down the road anyways . 2025 is the 50th Anniversary for Jaws. 50 bucks says they make Jaws LEs easy to find next year.

  I would have been super disappointed if the reel didn’t spin. I wanted Bond to carry the pinball, but it’s just attached to his back, and that killed the vibe for me. I personally don’t need to see JAWS eat a pinball, we get that stuff on every game. I am much happier with that $ going to other mechs. Only downside I have is Brody missing, but it’s not a big deal. Worked for JP. That and Godzilla are my favorite. Sad to see the leaks, but i love it what I’m seeing.

  I'm sure this game will play awesome, that is what Elwin does, but compared to competitors, Stern likes to go cheap on the quality of stuff on the playfield. I spent a lot of extra money to get my Godzilla look like the price I paid for my premium. Jaws is about a shark and that shark on the playfield looks like crap, just like the cheap Godzilla that most of us spent hundreds to replace. Don't get me wrong, I still want one, but I just wish we could get more from Stern out of the box.

  spookys still cost too much Spooky CE is the same price as a Stern Premium and I think LT looks far better than Jaws at this point. And Spooky support is excellent.

  I expect a JPish pin with very little movie assets. It just sounds that way from various podcasters. Nothing at all wrong with that as JP is my fav. They can’t base a whole game on 1 battle (1 villian). Could you imagine playing this game a year before actually getting far enough to see Jaws lmfao. I know the layout will be there, I’m just worried about coding with this theme. At least the right coders are on it. What if you play as Jaws and attack citizens. That would be rad.

  Wasn't James Bond also "sold out" on day one? There are still NIB LEs available for Bond, FF and Venom, some for less than MSRP. My thoughts as well, the market has softened a lot, the days of not buying it at MAP on day one sight unseen are gone, and those days were only recent as popularity has picked up, Stern and JJP have done a bang up job of increasing production, and some would argue lowering quality... I like others am excited to see Jaws, but not throwing my credit card on the table...

  Any chance Stern will walk back the price and start a trend of machines being a better value for the money? I believe Spooky missed that opportunity with Texas/Looney. Fingers crossed but I'm sure my disappointment will continue. Almost 0.0% chance the beancounters would allow that to happen, especially on what they know is a A-tier theme/designer combo like Jaws/KME. Your cheap NIB's right now are LZ and TMNT, probably joined next holiday season by Mando and Venom.

  Close.. I heard its a plastic shark in a sealed water container! The LED turns on with the Jaws theme. The shaker makes him look like he's swimming! Close, There is a tank under the machine with a live shark in it.

  Time to get the unrealistic expectations going! Actual water under the playfield with projection mapped 3-d shark projection animations! Since it's not uncommon for shooter rod mods to be painful to hold, I'd hope the shooter rod for Jaws is a shark mouth that actually takes a chunk out of you, causing you to bleed.

  I'm not about making money but I've always been lucky enough when I move on from a game to break even. Plus LE's aren't that limited anymore. Depends on the game. Godzilla LE is still mostly over new LE prices. I won’t be buying any LE’s outside of top tier games like JAWS. I am not worried about JAWS not breaking even if I ever want to sell.

  I heard that they are using Pinball 2000 technology to produce something similar to Star Wars Episode 1. How would you even accomplish that on the LCD? Unless there is some 3d area of the playfield like Dialed In where the video mode is. Honestly I'm surprised they would even try to reference Jaws 3d.

  What's the current over/under on another Jaws thread? There's only 3 threads. One is a hype thread (pre the release) and the other is a thread that's 7 years old.   Dealer said Thursday for trailer and prices are the same as before. His les are sold out already. Elwin’s always been harder to find an le I think this will sell out quick. Most dealers have a long list. Jaws will probably be different, but I cannot tell you how many times dealers have told me they are sold out of LEs only to call days later offering to sell me one. Lists mean very little until real money put up.

  but then isn't that what it is really all about, right? It used to not be with stern. I feel like I got something for my money with Godzilla beyond the limited run when it cost 10k vs 8500. Torn on which one I want for Jaws.

  ....and suddenly the pinside market will be flooded with used Foo Fighters and Venoms! Thank you Jaws!! Lol that is kind of my dilemma... when i went to the arcade to play a few pins to deicide which one i should get for my first one (ended up with a godzilla prem) i did enjoy FF and thought about adding that but now that jaws is for sure coming out i think the FF can wait.

  So in times past other then the limited quantity of LE vs premium, what really sets the 2 apart, I know it is different probably from game to game but is there that much of a difference? Here is a sample feature matrix from Deadpool showing the differences between the versions. Expect Jaws to be similar (as far as Premium vs LE) and for there to now be 1,000+ LEs.   LE’s will be available nib for some time. No reason to drop deposit on them anymore. Wait a few weeks and you can get one no tax and free shipping. So as someone who is new to the hobby and has never bought a pin that has not been released, how does this all work? Right now if i wanted a Jaws i would put a deposit down and then have to pay the tax and shipping most likely?

  I think Elwin game play will be great. However, it all comes down to how much IP is in the game for me. If its like JP, Im out at these prices. Yup, no Quint = no purchase. Sadly I can see Jaws going the generic route which in that case means Stern needs to come up with everything on their own. Think of the assets Stern created for Avengers versus Godzilla which has a ton of licensed + custom assets....it's easy to see which game is better.

  ... and seems Stern has been creeping into the modern theme era with STgs, FFs, but Jaws is one of those near perfect themes for pinball.

  I'm just ready for Stern to release Jaws already. This anticipation has certainly been affecting the secondary market (trades & sales) the last 2-3 months. Been hard to sell and trade since people have been holding that money for Jaws and not trading either since they need space to put Jaws.

  ... didn't have anything worth a sequel. There were def far better offerings from our generation than jaws. WARRIORS, Apocalypse now, Blazing saddles, Animal house, etc, and I wouldn't make a pin ... either. 8O Not sure you could say the movies you listed were "better" movies than Jaws. Fun, yes. MAYBE Apocalypse Now...but what a depressing theme that would be. When ... I think of pinball, I think of...people dying in Vietnam??? But Jaws is iconic. There are still magazine covers devoted to it in the last year ...

  Still no call from my distro alerting me that my game has shipped. Reading all the posts from unboxers of games needing LOTS of adjustments, I’m starting to think my distro is doing me a favor. Maybe he’ll wait another month send me a JAWS instead. I might be better off.
