  For you audio experts, what sound/voice attenuation settings do you recommend? I’ve just recently updated to the 2023 code (finally) and I’d like to really feature the Halloween soundtrack music and Don’t Fear the Reaper. I’m also going to attach a Polk audio box - is there a best method to attach one? Thank you!

  Glad to find this out before bricking my game. Haven’t changed the battery… ever. Ordered the 10 pack from Amazon so should be good for awhile. I have Halloween and Scooby so I’ll be ordering that 10 pack too. These coin batteries should be good for at least 2-3 years, maybe far longer. Fortunately they are cheap enough that a swap every couple years is doable. I think Bug recommended once each year.

  Not sure if this has been brought up, but I’m getting the heavy breathing after Stalker mode is done. It continues throughout the ball until it drains. I’ve seen this a few times. And the favorite guest game continues. I had a non-pinball person over who had never seen any of the games. He played a few and said Halloween was his favorite ‘without question.’ It’s a crowd pleaser for sure.

  6 months to Halloween, should be an update by then Bug did say he wants to do an update for each Halloween... I mean that would be rad if they slowly over the years kept adding to it in some form lol. I do hope to hear more about 1.15 or if there is any upgrade to it, the best testing was going on for it back in Feb already, we are approaching May now. Did the code expand perhaps?

  What show machine? Waiting for an update. Scooby-Doo is sitting beside Halloween unplugged. At TPF they said they had test code running on the Halloween that was at the show. Imagine same machine was at the one they had at midwest recently also. 1.15 was in beta a while ago, so wondering if anything new has come from it since it never released.

  It's a bad time to sell anything right now. The deals are nuts on used pins. The market for pins seems good still but I think we've reached a saturation point and now there's just so much stock floating about. Spooky I think made a good choice with rolling down to 888 machines on these two games after doing 1250 Halloween and over 1600 Scooby. Think all manufacturers need to chill on their runs right now. So many tempting pins for sale at 3-4k off what we saw a year or two ago.

  I've noticed with some cereals they have 3 different sizes on the shelf - regular, large, and family size, and a lot of times there isn't much difference between the sizes. Also, anyone notice with candy bars the 'share size' is what the single bar used to be. And don't set me started on those bags if mini bars. Ruined Halloween for everyone!

  I just cut off the right side of the pin defender, sanded it and used double side tape to hold it in place. No need to unscrew everything and it has held in place really nicely for me. ^this^ That’s what I did for my Scooby and Halloween but I used a glue dot.

  I loved how RED it was in person. It's growing on me the more I think about how much fun I had on it at Texas Pinball Festival. Would look so cool next to Halloween ;) I definitely played it more than any other game at TPF.

  TCSM is the best in show IMHO. best code at launch. I didn’t even put it on my radar. Thought EJ or Jaws. EJ is good. But the code and rule set on TCSM is above and beyond. The feel of the Spooky games has just improved so much, from Halloween/Ultraman, to Scooby, to LT/TCM. Love to see it, and hope they keep it going.

  Fair enough. When you play them side by side at home i'm sure the feeling is different than at a show too. I know i thought my choice was a very clear one. Ya, the show is a terrible place to show off Alien. The pic is mine at the Houston Expo and I put it in a black 10x10 tent with Halloween and external sub to give it at least a chance to get the experience. lol

  Agree! Mine still has weird bugs with the mode selection screen far too often. It flickers and I can’t select a mode. Yea it's a common issue, I believe it was fixed in the beta code already. If they are playing Halloween perhaps there is new code to show off? Maybe a surprise?

  Anyone put Halloween on location with newest code? How was the response? Anything recommended to keep the ball times low and the game moving fast through players? We have a 70 person league and long ball times are a real problem if they happen. Any suggestions for physical or software settings would be appreciated. What about balls sticking on the inlane returns? Any fix for that since the metal at the top sticks out a bit.

  Is there a guide on how to replace one of the frosted drop targets in the three bank assembly? Does the assembly need to be removed from the underside of the playfield? Thanks all, so much great info in this thread. I searched and searched and came up empty handed. I recently acquired a location used Halloween CE. Replaced the hedge Michael servos, got those working again. I also have a couple flashers and the lower LED strip on it's way from Spooky.

  Crap.. looks like first pin that won't fit in my house ....gonna have to get creative My Spooky Halloween has a wider than Stern backbox. Instead of going in the back door. I had to go up extra set of stairs to the front porch, in the front door, across the house, then down another extra set of stairs just to get where I normally start. I don't know why they all don't use a standard size. I had no idea until I tried to force the game because they always fit before, scratching and even chipping my back box.
