  Those are some good choices. I find that some of the 60’s 2 inch flipper EM’s are frustratingly difficult. I have a Grand Tour I just finished restoring, average play time on 5 ball is under 3 minutes. Which old timers tell me is by design for most pins of that era.

  Hmm. The plot thickens. Elsewhere in the catalog it does say Grand Tour uses a single step reset stepper: [att=5292128,1786055 caption=""] I'd like to understand how that works as far as the rules are concerned. Either way you'll need to adjust the stepper so that it does take a reset step.

  Your restoration is beautiful. You were fortunate that the play field and the back-glass were in such good shape. I have a Grand tour. I like the game, but the backglass was painted in spots and the play field was hammered. Not a good candidate for me to restore. But the game is fun gaining cities to tour.

  Haha...you bastard! 14 1/2 hours each way for me. Not for a $400 project game. The game would end up nutting me $1000 with travel costs. I'm feeling angst, I'll be down 3 pins by next weekend, Grand Tour has been clear coated, Haunted House is running and I'm waiting on parts for it and I have empty space in the workshop. Time to start thumbing through the ads again!

  So glad to see these classic Ballys getting "The Treatment"! Just wish I got rolling sooner, lot going on the last 2 years. Last major project is a Bally Bazaar; have to replace the back of cabinet, full repaint and stencil. Playfield and backglass are beautiful though. Forgot to mention; I'm still in touch with the Grand Tour former owner's children who have been getting restoration updates, they are curious how it is going to come out and glad it is being repaired.

  Nice! This one and Ken's really duplicate the original more than any other. I've done the "karate chop" motion with the webbing spray, and if you do it fast, it works pretty well, and the brush method is okay too, but neither are as close as the laquer spray. I've really got to break down and try it on my next repaint. I have been waiting two, years to give it a go.   Wow great job Thanks; I really try and up my game on each one I do. The webbing (which really does not show well except in a few close up photos) came out perfect. Grand Tour which I have been waiting to finish for 2 years is next, now that I have webbing down pat. It is going to be a stencil job I'm going to try and make out of aluminum sheeting.

  I'm glad you're making it pretty. I almost bought that game. My wife and I are appreciative you didn't! She enjoyed playing one immensely at Pintastic 2017 and I have been on the hunt ever since. I vaguely recall it was Sing Along but I'd much rather have the AAB Melody. One of the last EM's we were keeping an eye out for now that we are filling out a few spots with SS. I still have Hearts and Spades to finish, Grand Tour to web and stencil and dig into Bazaar. Sad, another full cabinet repaint.

  I need a set of siderails to a 1964 Bally Grand Tour https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1081&picno=63380&zoom=1 These are distinguished by a little notch where it wraps around the head collar and at the flipper button area they have a curved concave lip.   ... prove he was legit by emailing me customer reviews and invited me to Columbus to tour the warehouse. He was angered when I inquired as to why he didn't advertise on pinside ... that if it's too good to be true it probably is rings loudly, but a couple grand in potential savings is worth a little effort.   Although the "Grand Tour" may have concluded, I think there is a certain convenience attached to keeping this thread ongoing. Even if the posts become far less frequent. It's a body of work that has continuing reference value, and refers back to prior content.
