Our Flash Gordon high score is over 5 million... The thing is, it's on 5 balls per game and I'm not sure if it was me or Captive Ball Jim that put the 5 Mil there! ;-) I've had some epic games on FG, but I have also had some epic fail games as well. Awesome find! Cute type-o too on the playfield, in picture 6 of the first post. Enjoy your unique machine! These classic Italian machines had a great coating on the playfields. I am staying in a guesthouse in Rome right now, and the owner has made a dining table out of 5 pinball playfields (sacrilege, yes). 2 of them are a copy of Flash Gordon by Bell Games. I've never seen used playfields from the early 80's look this nice. [att=3345259,778700 caption=""] [att=3345259,778697 caption=""]

I'm wrong. Apparently Bell's version of Frontier was identical to the Bally game. They must have had a deal with Bally in the early 80's. Looks like Bell Games produced other Bally games like Flash Gordon and Fireball II...probably for the European market. I only knew about the company from the Centaur conversion kit (Fantasy), and Tiger Rag (6 Million Dollar Man kit).

In the trouble shooting section it gives you the procedure to test and options for the repair. Follow it to the letter. For Flash Gordon-Bell Games The same manual is used.
