I owned a Fathom Mermaid one of the most beautiful pins ever. GLWTS it’ll be a great buy if they follow through with their ambitious plans. I can’t see how Haggis is profitable at their current building pace. With them being on the opposite side of the world from 90% of pinball people it’s like they have one hand tied behind their back. Shipping is a nightmare.

Here come the ads: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/88468 Not sure we can expect a flood of Bargain FHs. Look at Centaur/Fathom...the remakes only made people RAISE their prices on used originals, as they figured "hey idiots are paying $10k for a brand new Centaur, I better raise the price of my beater from $4k to 6k!"

Hmm..... How does the light behave in self test? Have you worked on the playfield? Sometimes the strobe pullup resistor located near the drop targets fails and causes bizarre behaviors. There was a similar instance of this resistor causing problems in the past. Posted 37 days ago by gdonovan – in Playfield restoration ‐ Last reply yesterday

He's using a damn CNC machine, how the hell do things not line up? Or do those guide holes on the bottom get drilled in by hand? If so he should be using templates to ensure they line up every time. I just built a scratch built Fathom and had a second Fathom playfield for reference and it was astounding that both factory playfields were spot on identical. Posts, cuts, holes, etc were perfect between them. Made a playfield protector and it was easy going back and forth to check.

Work on cabinet #3 starts, I'm hoping to shoot paint on #2 and #3 at the same time. Fiberglassed the rear edge and repaired other dings and dents. Speakeasy lower cabinet will be combined with Bally sample head with swing out bezel (Xenon style) which will use early Stern transformer and rectifier board from early cabinet #1 configuration. I'm hoping to have Flash Gordon, Fathom and Seawitch at Pintastic. [att=8085607,3821834 caption=""]

Has anyone here played the Centaur Revisited code at Texas Pinball Festival? I'm priced out of this game, but keen to find out what it's like didn't try.. not a good environment to experiment and try to learn. You only have a game or two due to crowds, it's hard to hear, and there wasn't anyone there that knew the game. Even with Fathom in a home spot, its difficult to self explore what's really going on in the 2.0 code.

Ninja Eclipse Hype Thread! Post #125 in topic

Posted 39 days ago by Mr68 – in Boutique pinball ‐ Last reply 3 days ago

I feel like playfield protectors and hardtops have a lot more experience and milage than haggis games..is this not a mostly solved problem? The 2015 MMR I took a day 1 playfield protector off a year ago of didn't have any noticable scratching after some hundreds of plays. I was one of the first to receive a Fathom Mermaid from Haggis and the playfield is flawless today. I agree with you, this is a very solvable issue.

Wasn't following the hype thread, but positive incremental improvements at shows since the initial unveiling were piquing my interest. Buuuut, now that I know it's a plastic playfield, my hype meter is sub-zero on Ninja Eclipse. No thanks. Polycarbonate is not plastic and it really is unbreakable and no pooling.I have a Haggis Fathom Mermaid and it plays extremely well.Having said that I cannot speak for the Ninja.
