  Farfalla owners, do you prefer the modest or sexy backbox overlay art? I have the modest one, like this one being offered at eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174012121731 I tend to think that the modest one goes better with the theme of "innocent love" that is depicted as a young, fully-clothed couple on the bridge.

  They should send all the playfields to Bangladesh or some other place without any regulations, and use that good old toxic clear that seemed to work so well. The new environmentally conscious clear products appear to be inadequate. I'm pretty much a tree-hugging pinko hippie, but I'll cosign this. All those Spanish and Italian pins from the '70s and '80s have godlike clearcoat. My unrestored Prospector and Farfalla look amazing.

  Hello everybody, I received a Farfalla, it's my first solid state pinball (I restored a lot of WPC previously). No battery leakage, first good point and I can start a game, second good point. But in attract mode or in game, some of the coils "pulses" permanently. They are not always on but switch from off to on to off very quickly. Have you an idea of what can I look to try to find a solution ?

Today is the day, I went to see it and took it in my car with no hesitation. Back glass is in good conditions, playfield glass is not original, it has tons of small problems but shouldn't be complicated to get it back in shape.

  @cottonm4 in Wichita did a lot of legwork helping me try and score a Farfalla that was for sale down there. It ended up not working out, but he really went above and beyond to try and help me out. I definitely remember gestures like that. -Hans

  My personal favorite: “do you know the history of the machine?” Honest question....what's the issue with this? I mean...are people really making sale of the game contingent on that answer, or are they just curious? I've asked this a couple of times for really odd games, like the beautiful Farfalla that I picked up out of rural Oklahoma, or the Diamondplate Rollergames...

  Zaccaria: Before I was corrected, I (and many others) said Zach-a-Rye-a, when it should be Zach-a-re-a. Kinda like diarrhea with a Zac in front Well that's not how it's pronounced during the attract mode of Devil Riders or Farfalla... "Give it your all with Zach-a-Rye-a pinball." You would think that the creators of the games knew how to pronounce it. ;-)

  I also have a populated Farfalla pf I could sell with this as well as a 5 pc set of 7 digit displays that all need work if that helps someone want to ship it. Extra $500 This game uses the exact same boardset as Farfalla but with different roms. You could swap the Farfalla in and repaint the cab. Would just have to remake the backbox lamp board and source a Farfalla insert and repro backglass from BG resto.

  10 years ago we used a backup memory cap instead of the pinintech nvram (which wasn't created). Simple solution and scores/settings were retained for months without play(although I never had a game I didn't play for months). I installed this in place of batteries on all of my zacs. Yup my farfalla still has the super cap and I still have some spares around somewhere. Maybe they are still good

  These are regular buttons. Just the usual ones like nowadays stern, jjp... If you look above at the pic of my farfalla you will see I swapped mines with clear, illuminated buttons.

  The guy in Holland is Han. He is currently working on a Gen2 MPU & driver board I sent him :) The driver boards and MPUs made by Gianfri are also very good.   Hello, I received a Farfalla with a non working CPU. It's my first non-DMD machine and I try to repair it. I burned a eprom with Leon's test program. When I read it, I see that only the 312 first bytes are used, the rest of the eprom is full of FF. Is it normal ?

  I actually like Big Guns, Farfalla, and Breakshot (I have owned all three). I have a hard time believing that someone would put Bugs Bunny ahead of any of the above machines.

  But instead it’s shoot the upper playfield, hit the targets up there. That’s it. I feel like you just described most games with a upper playfield. I think most games with prominent upper playfields are bad. It shrinks the game into two small areas, and you rather just stay in the upper. It makes the whole game feel cramped. Hot take: Black Knight is overrated AF I actually like Farfalla for trying to be interesting and the art is killer.

  I am a huge fan of early SS games. I have: EBD, Seawitch, Farfalla, Genie and Joker Poker I would like to round out the top 10 with: Quicksilver, Fathom, Centaur, Stargazer and Pinball Champ'82 (Zaccaria) Unfortunately I am out of space, so that won't happen any time soon. I play those more than the modern day machines.

  I think I am to the point where everything is working on the Devil Riders except the upper flippers (and the displays which I am replacing). I keep thinking it must be the relay even though the relay activates when the switch is tripped (either side). The lower flippers never turn off and the upper flippers never turn on. Is there anything else that could fail on the relay or something in particular that I should check? Thanks John Did you try the Farfalla driver board on the Devil Riders?

  Any ideas on why my outlane flippers are very slow to respond on my Farfalla? Ball rolls over switch, the game play's the audio cue but the flipper doesnt activate until the ball is already way past it. Flippers work in test.

  Alright guys I've got a weird one with my Farfalla. Game boots up goes into attract mode. I credit it up hit the start button, it says the starting audio "Lets see what you can do!" then everything just stops. No solenoids fire, flippers dont work, playfield lights just stop. Then game seems to totally freeze after the start button is pushed. Where do I start looking first?

  Sure was a great show, Rich and crew did a great job, really like the venue, lots of space for everyone, we brought 10 pins in for freeplay, only one gave us trouble, Space Invaders and Farfalla played both days rock solid, every one of our pins found new homes, that was a first, was great to catch up with friends and hang out peddling or flea market stuff, looking forward to next year

  Any features that were used on Zaccaria machines are worth seeing again: Flippers in outlanes for ball save (e.g. Zaccaria Farfalla) Timed upper playfield where you need to build up the time before shooting for it (e.g. Zaccaria Pinball Champ) Special "See saw" to return ball from upper to lower playfield (e.g. Zaccaria Pinball Champ) Special ramps sitting on top of drop targets (e.g. Zaccaria Devil Riders). Bonus time (fourth ball running on a built up bonus timer) - most Zaccaria SS machines.

  I must be an idiot, but I can't remember how to change the values in the options menu on my Farfalla. It's been years since I made any changes. Obviously, you use the little joystick to go back and forth to the different menu options, but what do you press to change them? Neither the start button nor the flipper buttons work.
